LONG BALLS ABOUND IN LOSS TO NATURALS: In a game which featured all its scoring on home runs, the Riders fell short by a final of 6-2 Saturday at NW Arkansas. Jose Cardona and Eliezer Alvarez hit a pair of solo homers but the Naturals countered with two three-run blasts to secure the series win. LOOK AT THAT SECOND-HALF TURNAROUND: After a 24-46 first half, the Riders have turned things around mightily in the second half. WOES IN THE NORTH CONTINUE: The Riders have struggled outside of Texas this year. In four road trips to the North Divi- sion, the squad is just 5-18, including a 1-4 mark here in Springdale. By contrast, the Riders are 11-7 at home against North Division foes this season and 47-48 overall inside the boundaries of Texas. LET’S GO PRO: Infielder Juremi Profar enters play today on a season-best six-game hitting streak, in which he is batting .429 with three multi-hit games. The six-game hitting streak ties his longest from last season. It’s his longest spurt since a 10-game streak in 2016 with Advanced-A High Desert. His career-best came in the first 11 games of 2014. LA O(H WOW): Infielder Luis Yander La O has had a monstrous second half for the Riders, hitting .320 after swinging at a .239 rate in the first half. La O enters play with a .292 average and has a chance to finish the season at or above .300. He hit above .300 in each of his final five seasons in Cuba’s Serie Nacional, including an astouding .374 mark in the 2012-2013 season. game #120 sunday, august 12 2:05 p.m. Arvest Ballpark • Springdale, AR RHP Pedro Payano (4-8, 5.90) vs. LHP Luis Lugo (0-1, 6.75) Video: MiLB.tv • Audio: RidersBaseball.com, TuneIn Radio and MiLB First Pitch App NW ARKANSAS NATURALS (57-61/22-26) Kansas City Royals 1 DATE TIME OPPONENT RIDERS STARTER OPPOSING STARTER Mon. 8/13 OFF DAY Tue. 8/14 7:05 p.m. vs. Arkansas LHP Wes Benjamin (3-4, 4.28) RHP Ashton Goudeau (1-3, 4.37) Wed. 8/15 7:05 p.m. vs. Arkansas TBA RHP Williams Perez (4-1, 2.55) Thu. 8/16 7:05 p.m. vs. Arkansas RHP Jonathan Hernandez (4-4, 5.71) LHP Anthony Misiewicz (2-10, 5.88) upcoming pitching probables 2018................................................ 52-67 2017................................................ 51-68 Best record ..............
