Founded by Italian designer Enzo Catellani, Catellani & Sm it h ha s b een creat i ng handmade artisanal lighting for almost three decades. Featuring a fibreglass hemisphere, the PostKrisi 40 table lamp creates dramatic visual contrast with an alluring interplay of light and shadows.

Ecocarat breathable wall tiles by Inax are made from a porous material called Allophane that allows them to absorb excess humidity, odours, harmful substances and volatile organic compounds. In addition, they repel mould, thus helping to create a healthy living environment. Renovating an apartment can be as painstaking as it is time-consuming, but, it doesn’t have to be that way. Refreshing one’s home does not

necessarily mean a complete refurbishment or total make-over. Big gains are to be made with small measures – start, for instance, by adding or replacing a decorative element. Italian company Trend, a leading producer of coloured glass mosaic tiles and agglomerates, specialises in producing tiles with customised photos or tailored-made patterns. Clients can submit their desired portraits or custom-designed patterns for a one-off feature wall, and the team at Trend will create the patterned mosaics. The tiles can be installed on both floors and walls.

TREND MOSAIC TILES The key component of the dimmable Buster Bulb by British design brand Buster + Punch is the resin light pipe that runs its length. It diffuses the LED light into a warm and subtle ambient glow, while casting a focused spot lighting onto the surfaces below. Available in a choice of crystal, gold, or smoke colours and incorporating an E27 screw-in base, it works perfectly as accent lighting.

BUSTER BULB

Created by Stockholm-based textile desig ner A ka ne Moriya ma a nd handmade in Japan, the Draped Flowers curtain for Umé Studio transforms interior spaces into a riot of blooms. Containing more than 100 miniature glass vessels in which fresh flowers may be placed, the organic curtain is in a knitted textile made from a durable washi paper thread that is strong, flexible and washable.

This curved wooden screen from Fornasetti’s new Don Giovanni collection takes its inspiration from the sets designed by Barnaba Fornasetti for the staging of Mozart’s famous opera. Danish high-end audio brand Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSound Shape is a wall-mounted wireless speaker system made of hexagonal tiles. Users can mount a minimum of six tiles on the wall to match the style of their home, with six different colours on offer as well as different sizes and tile materials from which to choose. The ‘tiles’ are actually speakers and amplifiers, as well acoustic dampeners, creating an eye-catching feature wall that sounds as good as it looks.
