    BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICESTEMPORARY DUST CONTROL

    1.THE GRADED AREA OR PROJECT SITE THAT IS CLEARED OF VEGETATION SHALL BE DAMP FOR SEVEN (7) DAYS AWEEK . AT THE END OF EACH DAY, THE SITE SHALL BE SUFFICIENTLY DAMPENED WITH WATER CONTINUOUSLY SOTHAT THE SITE WILL REMAIN MOISTENED DURING THE NIGHT.

    2.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT HIS OPERATIONS SO THAT EXCAVATION, EMBANKMENT, AND IMPORTEDMATERIAL SHALL BE DAMPENED ON A CONTINUAL BASIS TO PREVENT DUST PROBLEMS.

    2. NO GRADING WORK IS ALLOWED BETWEEN 7 P.M. TO 7 A.M. ON ANY GIVENDAY OF THE WEEK, AND NOT TO BE DONE ON SATURDAYS , SUNDAYS ANDHOLIDAYS WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE COUNTY ENGINEER.

    3. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO NOTIFY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FIVE(5) CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY GRADING WORK. NOTIFYPUBLIC WORKS INSPECTION SECTION WHEN THE WORK IS COMPLETED ANDREADY FOR INSPECTION.

    4. CONSTRUCTION PLANS ARE VALID FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROMTHE DATE OF APPROVAL. IF CONSTRUCTION DOES NOT COMMENCE WITHINTHIS ONE YEAR TIME FRAME, THEN THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS WILL HAVETO BE RESUBMITTED TO THE COUNTY AGENCIES FOR REVIEW ANDAPPROVAL.

    7. ALL SLOPES AND EXPOSED AREAS SHALL BE SODDED OR PLANTEDIMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GRADING WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

    8. CONTRACTOR MUST OBTAIN ALL NECESSARY PERMITS BEFORECONSTRUCTION COMMENCES. PERMITS TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TOGRUBBING, GRADING, STOCKPILING, ETC.

    9. DURING CLEANING OPERATIONS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY AWATER TRUCK FOR DUST CONTROL PURPOSES. EXCESS WATER,INCLUDING SILT AND DIRT, SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN OFF THEPROPERTY.
