Before

It was built as a large horse racing course by the British GovernorThe British then played Golf and the Colombo Golf Club was

started.Big Cricket and Rugby games were also held at Galle Face

There were no tall buildings or roads, only the green

park and the sea

AfterGalle Face Green is now a popular park for children, food sellers, visitors, kite flyers and anyone who wants to have

a good time next to the sea under the open sky

It is now lit up at night

There are lots of activities on the weekend

Children fly kites and their parents sit around in the Park

Galle Face Hotel has been standing at Galle Face since the start.It is now a majestic part of the history of Galle Face and looks the

same as it was before
