AUCTION SUCCESS STORY
Through the Bid4efficency program, AMG Vanadium received over $508,000 in cash awards from AEP
Ohio to fund their new furnace upgrade project. The Bid4efficiency funding helped AMG Vanadium achieve a cost effective return on investment allowing them to save over 16.4 GWh of energy consumption per year.
The project included utilizing a new furnace shell design and controls to achieve significant energy savings. AMG Vanadium was supported by their AEP Ohio Solution Provider, Energy Management Solutions, to help navigate the Bid4efficiency program and support the project implementation.
By participating in the Bid4efficiency program they were able to exceed the $25,000 per project threshold incentive amount,
which is a restriction in all other AEP Ohio programs.
AMG Vanadium is a leading provider of products and services for the metals, manufacturing, refinery and petrochemical industries.
