He is married
He divide their time between Paris, New York and Mexico City, but he live more in Paris and New York.
He explores the use of video, drawings, and installations in addition to his photographs and sculptures
His work permits a rarely allowed interaction between the artwork and the audience.
He born April 27, 1962. He was born in Jalapa, Veracruz, Mexico
- He studied, between 1981 and 1984.
- Then continued his education, between 1986 and 1987.
Achievements
He didn’t have any galleries because he don’t like to work in a establish place. He want to show that he can make the art in our daily life. However, he opened two in Mexico to show it.
Now, people considered him one of ten artist more famous on the field.
He have a documentary (they follow him for one year and show his life and works.
He was recognized in others countries and in Paris they already have a lot of works from him and in the documentary the people show their love for him. The thing is that none knows him in Mexico. In 2005 people started to recognized him.
He always said “The style is an accident, you don’t look for it”.
The style is to do the art with your usual life, but he use the poor suburbs in Mexico and New York to capture his work.
Orozco said that we are so surround by politics, so all work artist do, is in some way politic, but they need to choice to who benefit. He said if in some way is not politic is so boring.
He always wanted to be an artist and the heroic thing was to be and artist, but the heroic thing was to stopped being artist and that change and define his style he said I am try to stop being artist and look what technique was for him and that is why all his work is different.
What is most important is not so much what people see in the gallery or the museum, but what people see after looking at these things, how they confront reality again
