Diaphragm Meter (Prepayment Meter)

Introduction

QK2000 type IC card prepayment gas meter is new generation product combining gas meter and

PC control systems.

It is equipped battery is safe and convenient.

Standard is based on GB/T6969‐1997 &CJ/T112‐200.

The meter is suitable for coal gas, natural gas &liquefied petroleum gas.

How prepayment meter works?

The smart card reader and the PC with the software installed are to be located at Management

office. Customer will top up the amount using the IC card/Prepayment card Via computer sales

system. The first time purchasing will input the customer details .One cars are specialized for one

meter and user. The card can be used repeatable.

Instruction to use

1. Insert four batteries into the box. Before gas consumption, please make sure all the gas

Valves are in close position

2. Insert the card ,wait few minutes and hear the beep sound once. This showed the card is

Inset in correct position and readable. If the sound produced is three times beep, it is in

wrong position. Once readable, the LCD will show the remaining gas volume.

Alarming

1. Alarming can occur when the gas remaining reaches the minimum value which is 99 m³.

There will an alarm displayed and the valve will be closed. The purchase of gas is

required at this point. The re‐activate of meter can be done after the amount is top up

in the card. The valve can be open again by pushing the preset button on the

meter(front position).

Battery replacement

1. When the battery is nearly out of charge , The valve will be closed automatically. The

battery must be replaced whenever the valve is required to function.

Checking remaining gas

To check the remaining gas , push the button on the panel, LCD will show the remaining gas

volume and gas meter condition.

Valve will be closed when

i) Low pressure battery

ii) The remaining gas volume is to alarm gas volume and equal zero

iii) Incorrect installation of battery

iv) Abnormal indication from meter

Installation & safety Caution:

1. The meter shall be install in upright position

2. The meter shall be install in the building protected from rain, humility, vibration, sunlight

and fire source

3. When installing the meter, kindly ensure the connection is tightly sealed

4. The inlet and outlet indication is indicated by arrow on top of the meter, the moment of

boss shall be less than 80Nm

5. The meter should be equipped with valve in front of the inlet pipe to close the gas path

6. The inlet pressure of the gas pipe shall be less than 10kpa

7. The gas meter shall be clean by cloth and cleaning by pouring is prohibited
