Nicholas Woodman made the GoPro camera to solve a problem for him and his buddies. It started at the University of California at San Diego in the late 1990s, Nicholas Woodman wanted to find a creative way for him and his surfing buddies to film their surfing without having to take turns sitting on shore with a camera. He took a five-month surfing trip to Indonesia and began testing prototypes of a wrist mounted camera. He took a camera and attached it tightly on his hand so that’s how he started. When he got the design right, he borrowed and raised $30,000-in part by selling. When he was 36 he invented GoPro cameras to solve a problem in 2002.

After college Nicholas Woodman worked at the Internet marketing firm, and he made a website, but it didn’t work because people didn’t join in. Now Shaun White a famous snow border uses them at the XGames, Hollywood directors use them to shoot parts of films and even the U.S. military uses GoPro. Woodman will start selling movies made by GoPro. Disney have money to Nicholas Woodman because if they want a video they can take it.
