How to use it

Logging in

• This is in close association with Google. Meaning when you log in with your Gmail, you’re in.

• Also can be accessed through the Google homepage or while searching.

Creation• If you don’t have a Gmail, get one. Once that is complete it

will bring you to a page that ask you to fill out some information.

Setting up profile

• To begin to set up your profile just click on the profile button.

• On the profile page click on the ‘edit profile button’

• Fill in the personal; information you wish to tell and display such as intro, occupation, employment, education etc.

• Be sure to open the search visibility: it will help your friends etc. find you and allow Google to index your page.

Adding photos

• Also has a instant mobile photo upload feature• Also displays photos from people in your circle

Adding Contacts (Circles)

• This allows you to organize all of your contacts into specific groups or categories: Friends, Family, Colleagues, Acquaintances, etc.

– Intended for information to be shared to only those you choose.

• Google+ will find and match people using your email database

Video Chatting (Hangouts)• This is basically a virtual chat room where you can video chat with people in

your circles• Instead of directly adding one of your connections to join you in a video chat,

you instead click "Start A Hangout" and a message will go out to your Circles letting them know that you are interested in "hanging out.“

• Once you click the button it will ask you to download the software.

Games

• Like Facebook has various amounts of games in which users can play

Stream• On your main screen you can view the post made by your

friends along with their activity• In the news feed you can mouse over the title and choose to

follow it

Posting• Similar to the Facebook wall you can post, pictures, videos, links, places.• Also you can create pages where you can promote business or clubs etc.

Account Settings Pt. 1• The Overview allows various setting changes.

Account Settings Pt. 2• The Products Google+ is connected with various side projects like iGoogle

and YouTube.• Also allows you to backup feed with the Data Liberation feature.

Account Settings Pt. 3• The Privacy allows you to go more in depth of who's viewing and how to find

your page.

Account Settings Pt. 4• Mainly This Google+ tab ensures you notifications to your phone or email

Account Settings Pt. 5• The Languages allows you to set the profile and page language that’s easier

to view.

Account Settings Pt. 6• The Data Liberation feature Allows you to save any data dealing with

your page.
