FP-I PROGRESS REPORTThis report, in the form of a template,has been designed for B.E. students working on their Final Year Project (FYP) at the Electrical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, UMT.
Every group of students is required to do the following:1. Complete all the sections of this template 2. Get it certified by the advisor before the FP-1presentations3. Submit 3 photocopies to the project director 2 days before the presentation.4. Email PDF/MS Word document to your advisors and project director.

4. Problem Statement

Scope of project must be elaborated in detail but not more than 500 words.

6. Expected outputs/deliverables List expected outputs of the project in discrete terms (exactly what all you want to demonstrate). Maximum 250 words

Describe target beneficiaries, target market, potential customers, etc. Maximum 250 words
8. Literature study / Data collection
Describe the topics and type of literature studied , highlight points extracted from these literature, comparison carried out, so as to define your project path and methodology adopted by you. Citations are recommended. Maximum 500 words.

Discuss what methodology you want to adopt for completion of the project
10. List of project milestones/Gantt chart
A detailed and neat Gantt chart should be drawn/attached . It should be listing all the major and minor activities, indicating executed and remaining tasks, along with the time spans. Make sure that the Gantt chart is reflecting all the project milestones .

Style “IEEE - Reference Order”should be followed for giving references of books, research papers, reviews, online resources, databases, software manuals, figures and anything else cited in this report.
