My two boys love birds. For a long time, Alex, my 8-year-old, wanted to fly like them. He tried making wings out of old newspapers and sticking them on with Scotch tape. Truly, he tried everything, and was miserable when he couldn’t get off the ground.

How we all want to fly! To soar into the blue sky and leave behind the noise and the cares of the day. To be free and peaceful. To visit the far-flung places we’ve only dreamt of. Such is the passion that propelled the design of our new “Icelandic Dream” and “Modern Tree House” collections. DUVET VS COMFORTERSo, you’re ready to re-decorate your room? Blissliving Home offers two main types of bed coverings, duvets and comforters. To help you make a choice, here is an explanation of the two.

A comforter is a thick, quilted blanket. Some of our comforters feature a printed pattern and some are solid colored and/or reversible. Blissliving Home comforters are unique in that they feature tight stitch patterns for a lighter blanket that lays flatter on the bed. Comforters do not need a cover and are made to be the bedspread. They can be washed when dirty.

If you are looking for an addition to your comforter, or simply a more versitile bed cover, you may want to consider a duvet. A duvet is a comforter that is filled with down feathers or poly fill. It’s usually white, and should be placed inside a duvet cover. The duvet cover is a fabric “shell” that covers a duvet (like a giant pillowcase). Duvet covers are open on one end and buttoned closed. They keep the duvet clean and you can change the color of your bed on a moment’s whim. The duvet cover is washed when dirty, while the duvet is not washed as it is protected by the cover. Blissliving Home specializes in modern duvet covers with stylish patterns and large-scale graphics. Our duvets and duvet covers are sold separately.

The yarn is soft to the hand and the thread count provides a comfortable sleep in almost every environment. Sateen provides a smooth hand through a weave of four or more vertical threads over a single horizontal thread. We add deep 18” pockets with elastic all the way around the fitted sheets for a more secure fit on most mattresses. We invest a great deal of time selecting the best fabric to meet our standards, and confident you’ll enjoy a Blissful sleep.
