In response to the technical difficulties, Antheil quickly re-arrangedthe piano parts, changing the orchestration to include unspecifiedmultiple of 2 conventional pianos and a single player piano.

Antheil again revised the piece, using a very different ensemble of 4 pianos, 4 xylophones, 7 electric bells, 2 propellors, timpani,glockenspiel, and assorted percussion. This version, which is muchtighter and shorter than the early versions, is performed fairly oftenand has been recorded several times.
