SIMPEX-OBJEKT was established as a family-owned company in 1972 and has remained so ever since.

At the outset the focus was on the equipping of hospitals, rehabilitation centres and rest homes in Germany. But very soon, through the company’s undertakings in hospitals in particular, solid business contracts with doctors in the private practice sector were established. Within Germany private general practitioners treat their patients not in hospitals but in their own practice premises under contracts with statutory health insurance companies. SIMPEX-OBJEKT decided therefore to specialize in the private practice field and in 1979 commenced the outfitting of such clinics.

Over the years the company, in response to increasing demand, has also branched into production of single items of furniture and basic medical equipment for practices, such as examination couches, trolleys and stools. This line has continually expanded to such an extent that since 1993 it has formed the main basis of the business.

Today SIMPEX-OBJEKT is counted among the world’s largest producers of basic medical practice furniture offering its customers comprehensive concepts, co-ordinated colour schemes and solutions. Production output, though steadily increasing, has not enabled the company to avoid, unfortunately, rationalization. In spite of globalization and development of new leading technologies aiding produc-tion, the company’s main location in Wahlstedt now employs 40 people.

Today SIMPEX-OBJEKT supplies its products not only to its distinguished German market but to all the countries of Western Europe together with some in Eastern Europe, as well.

In its brief history the company has launched several developments which have been adopted by others in the same field and even have become recognized standards:

This well thought-through steel drawer system from SIMPEX provides you with the opportuni-ty to order the HYGIEN-O-STAR trolleys with your own drawer arrangement.

Each drawer model is available in 3 heights:Type A corresponds to one height unit (1 HU)Type B corresponds to two height units (2 HU)Type C corresponds to four height units (also four times Type A = 4 HU)Design the model you require according to your own wishes – Only one restraint: The number of height units selected must not exceed 12.

Spare drawer HYGIEN-O-STAR, Spare drawer HYGIEN-O-STAR in steel with powder-coated surface RAL 9002, chromed design-handle, softglide linear guiding devices and fastening screws. Why rustproof STAINLESS STEEL? Stainless steel is the only material with the effect of “self-healing”!

In clinics and practices stainless steel is essentially when it comes to:

l Hygiene l Care l Life-span and maintenance of value l Resistance to iodine, disinfectants and halogens l Corrosion protection l First-class design

SIMPO-CLEAN is our new top quality functional stainless surface with a fine finish grain of 500 with subsequent electro-polishing. In contrast to purely mechanical surface finishing comprising grinding and polishing, we significantly increase the cleaning properties and corrosion resistance.

This also greatly improves the resistance potential, removes absolutely all ferrous ions left over from the finishing process, increases the decontamination rates, avoids catalytic effects („fingerprints“), gen-erates a hydrophobic surface and creates a surface that is absolutely film free. The creation of this dense passive layer of chrome-oxide is essential for achiev-ing optimum corrosion resistance for stainless steel. The expansion of electro-polished surfaces is reduced by 80 % compared to ground surfaces and only has minimal adhesion energies which is decisive for op-timized cleaning and hygiene properties.

When surfaces are subject to normal grinding with-

out subsequent electro-polishing, the capability of the surface to remain particle-free is reduced due to changes in the microstructure, abrasion and fine dust. Fine burr, flakes and soiling are created and are re-leased when the material is used and pass onto other materials. This in turn causes unwanted activation of the material that will then suffer from the effects of chloride ions in areas where the material is touched (skin contact). The choice of the right material is mak-ing an essential factor in the real corrosion resistance besides the high-class processing. We guarantee the exclusive use of the material 1.4301 and 1.4305 with chromium parts of 17%-19% and nickel admixture of 8,5%-10,5%. We do not process low-grade „steels“ from Asia with reduced chromium and nickel parts.

In cases of abuse or contact with ferrite or chlo-ride-containing materials also stainless steel will corrode. However, you can remove these tracks again and a new passive coating is formed – This is the unique “self-healing” effect of stainless steel!
