Creative Fundraising Ideas

Each year more than 300 schools, organizations, and businesses support The Rose by partnering as a third party fundraiser. The generous donations we receive each year from community leaders, like you, help ensure that The Rose can continue to provide quality breast health care regardless of a patient’s financial circumstance. Third-party fundraising is fundraising brought upon a grander scale. These events are generally organized by an organization, such as businesses, school groups, restaurants, retailers, etc. These events come in many different styles and sizes and can be a lot of fun for businesses to get involved within their community.

• Donate collections and proceeds from concession, merchandise, and event tickets sales to benefit The Rose

• Hold a silent or live auction

• Encourage customers to round up their change to donate to The Rose

Recruit your fellow FUNdraisers!

Determine a shared passion, hobby or interest that will be the basis of your event.

Read the guidelines. Complete, sign and turn in the application to events@therose.org.

A member of our staff will contact you to discuss details of your fundraising ideas.

Have a fun time fundraising.

Email events@therose.org with photos, a summary of what happened at your event, and to schedule a check presentation.

When you fundraise for The Rose, we pledge to help make your event successful by:

Establishing a one-on-one meeting with our fundraising staff to specialize your fundraising needs and goals.

Promoting your event on The Rose’s Facebook, Instagram, and website.

Providing promotional material from The Rose, such as logos, brochures, flyers, postcards, videos, etc.

Setting up a speaker for the event, if necessary.

• Request a guest speaker from The Rose to combine awareness and fundraising.

• Make progress visible. Monitor your status or illustrate how close you are to your goal and encourage participation.

• Set a specific time frame and fundraising goal.

• Share progress regularly, and if you reach your goal early, increase the goal.

• Encourage incentives and friendly competition.

Because of third-party fundraising events, we can continue to provide quality breast health care to more than 10,000 uninsured women annually throughout Southeast Texas. Through the years, donations, large and small, help

thousands of women have a chance for a lifetime.
