We can’t thank you enough for deciding to fundraise for Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals. It’s because of people like you that we can spend £500,000 every month, transforming our hospital, saving lives and funding things like this:

• iPads to give a voice to ICU patients unable tocommunicate verbally

• Cutting edge transplant technology that enables surgeonsto test livers before transplanting them, using those thatwould previously not have been viable.

• Testing the effectiveness of existing medicines to treatCOVID-19

FUNDRAISING TIPS & IDEASGetting started• Choose your activity then pick a date

and venue• Weekends usually have highest

attendance• Fridays are best if you’re fund raising

at work• Ensure you don’t clash with major

holidays or events• Check if you need special permission or

a license to hold your event

SUPERCHARGE YOUR FUNDRAISINGAsk your employer about matched giving– you could double your fundraising!

Have a pub quiz in your local – get your community involved

Organise a raffle – but make sure you sell tickets and announce the results at the same place

Sell, sell, sell – whether it’s a car boot sale or eBay everyone loves a bargain

Go for distance – ask people to sponsor you per mile

Street or supermarket collections – always ask your local authority and ACT for permission

Think about Gift Aid – we can claim Gift Aid on donations paid directly to the charity and for sponsored activities, check your eligibility on our website But most of all make sure
