Fundraiser.ie is a family run business based in Kilminchy

Portlaoise Co. Laois which began in January 2012 and has the

experience of three generations of the Dolly family. Fundraiser.

ie is focused on recycling clothes, textiles, mobile phones

and scrap metal. We offer a wide range of fundraising options

through recyclable materials.

We have over 30 year’s industry experience within the recycling

industry. As a fully permitted and insured company we work

in close contact with charities, clubs, schools and other

organisations throughout the country to ensure that all your

unwanted clothing and textiles as well as mobile phones and

scrap metal are recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

We are a fully licensed waste collection company and are

registered with all county councils in the Republic of Ireland.

Prior to Fundraiser.ie we have worked in many other areas of

the recycling industry. As a business we have a passion for

recycling and keeping our environment green and what better

way to do that than provide a service to the public which

benefits both their pockets and our environment. As a company

our primary aim is to divert waste from landfill. Fundraiser was

established in order to facilitate any individual, group, club,

church, community centre, sports clubs, school or organization

looking to raise funds or looking to donate money to charity.

Donations are made through unwanted clothing, mobile phones or scrap metal. We can be on hand to help you collect these donations. All materials are recycled in an environmentally safe manner and can continue to offer much needed clothing in third world countries. Mobile phones and scrap metal are used in the production of new products. Step 2Select a date and time that best suits you. The more you advertise your event the more donations you receive. Remember we offer a free leaflet design service & a low cost printing option to really make your event stand out. All our recycling fundraisers are designed to ensure you receive the maximum donations. No money is required and as a result people are more willing to contribute. Making your fundraiser a success can be as easy as asking people to clear out their homes of their unwanted items.

Step 3Once you have advised us of the date and time we do all the rest! Our vehicles are fitted with on board weighing facilities and we can be on hand to collect all donations received. All materials are logged and for textile and mobile phone recycling payment is made on the day. Scrap metal collections are organised through our truck/skip department and can be arranged for any date and time that best suits you. Once the scrap metal is collected it is weighed at our base facility and payment is made immediately.

Step 4Create a constant revenue stream throughout the year by adopting one of our Constant Revenue promotions. These promotions create a steady cash flow at various times throughout the year. You can adopt as many or as few of the Constant Revenue promotions as you wish. Please see our Constant Revenue Section for further details.

Step 5Start planning how you will spend the money. As payment is made promptly you will enjoy the benefits immediately.

All unwanted items donated can be recycled and as such can have a dual benefit. Items donatedis graded and 90% of the material is sent to third world countries for reuse. All other materialis shredded and used as raw materials within the textile recycling industry, this helpsreduce waste from landfill. By recycling just one mobile phone you can save enoughenergy to power a computer for up to 40 hours. All components are recyclable and are brokendown into different elements such as plastic and metal. These are then used in the productionof new devices. Scrap metal is also recycled and used again to make new products thushelping the environment.

• Payment is received immediately (Constant revenue payments are made on a quarterly basis).

• Fundraising events can be run as many times in the year as needed.

Q. Can we mix and match the different types of Fundraising?

A. Yes, there is no limit as to how many fundraising options you can use.

Q. Can we run the event over a couple of days?A. Yes, this is entirely up to you. If you would like

everything to be done on the same day, there is no problem, however if you would like to do it over a number of days we can facilitate this also.

Q. Do you come to us or do we need to come to you?A. We normally come to you and remove all items on the

day and arrange payment for you there and then. For larger bulkier items such as scrap metal we usually take these away to our larger weighing facility and ask that a member of your team accompany us.

Q. How soon do we receive payment?A. Payment is usually made immediately on the day of

the fundraiser. For Constant Revenues these can vary but payment is usually made on a quarterly basis.

Q. How much can we expect to receive from an event?A. The potential is unlimited and depending on how

you choose to run and promote your fundraiser will determine how successful your fundraiser will be. The more you publicise and get local community involved in your fundraiser, the more successful it will be.

Q. Where do the items donated go?A. All items which are donated whether they be clothes,

scrap metal or mobile phones are fully recycled and

can be used again. Clothes are sent to countries less fortunate than us to be worn again and those that are unable to be worn again are broken down and used in the production of couches and mattresses. Scrap metal is used again in the production of new windows and vehicles. Mobile phones are broken down into components which are then re-used in the production of new electrical equipment.

Q. Are we fully insured to run this event?A. We are fully insured to run these events and are

happy to provide you with details of such upon your request.

Q. Is there a limit to the amount of times that we can run an event in a year?

A. Not at all, there is no limit, we are happy to work with you as many times as you like throughout the year.

Q. What happens if we receive a donation after the event?

A. This is no problem at all, our team is constantly on the road and will be happy to arrange pick up and payment the next time we are in your area.

Q. Can we help you advertise the event?A. We can give you lots of handy tips and ideas on how

and where to advertise the event. We can also send you a template which you can use to advertise the event. As our sister company is involved in printing we can also provide a design service for your event and offer great discounts on printing flyers for your event that will really stand out.

Clothes BanksWe can offer you a personalised clothing bank which can feature your organisations name

and logo, allowing people to donate directly to you. Clothing banks can be placed in a car

park, grass verge or the closest convenient location and will advertise your name clearly.

From all clothing donated you will receive a direct percentage and a full audit is available

for any location. Payment for clothes collected from a clothing bank is made on a

quarterly basis. Clothing Banks offer a year round revenue stream direct to you.

All our vehicles are equipped with the facilities required to maintain all sites to the highest

standard and as an added bonus we can offer a service level agreement to guarantee all sites.

Mobile Phone BoxesWe also offer Mobile Phone Boxes which will be personalized to show your Club/School/

Organization name and Crest or logo.

For all mobile phones which are donated we will a pay a flat fee directly to you. Once the

box is full all you have to do is give us a call and we will arrange collection of the box and

delivery of a new box and arrange payment.

Remember the more you publicize the mobile phone box, the more likely you will be to

receive donations. In turn this will create more revenue for you, as you will have a higher

turnover of phones.

Q. What are the clothing bank measurements?A. 4.3 cubic yard (3.3 cu metres) Height: 6’ 3” (1905mm) Width: 4’ 11” (1500mm) Depth: 4’ 1” (1250mm) As the clothing bank is very compact it can be

placed in a standard car park space, grass verge or the closest convenient location of your choice and will show your school name to ensure it is easily recognisable.

Q. How much clothes can a bank hold?A. Approximate weight of material when full is 300 kilos.

Q. How much money can we expect to get?A. This really relates to how often the clothing bank is

full. In a good site some banks can be emptied up to 3 times a week yielding a yearly income of €9,360.

Q. How often are we paid?A. Payment is made on a quarterly basis.

Q. Can we have more than one bank?A. We can provide as many clothing banks as you like, if

you have more than one site we can also arrange for clothing banks to be distributed to multiple sites.

Q. What items can be placed in a clothing bank?A. All donated items should be re-useable. When using

a clothing bank, only clean, dry items are acceptable including:

• Blankets, linens, towels and sheets • Shoes, boots and belts • All Women, Men and children Clothing

Q. What items cannot be placed in a clothing bank?A. Soiled and wet items • Carpet • Rugs • Glass • Metal • Paper • Rubbish • Duvets • Pillows

Q. What happens if a clothing bank is full?A. We pride ourselves on our level of customer service.

It is in our interest to maintain sites to the highest standard. Banks are emptied on a weekly basis regardless of being full or not. If for some reason a bank is full our emergency line is monitored 365 days a year 24/7.

Q. What happens if the clothing bank is damaged?A. We are responsible for the maintenance of the bank

and the site in which it is located. In the unlikely event damage is caused the bank will be repaired to the highest standard; If a repair cannot be carried out, the bank will be replaced with a new bank. It is in everyone’s interest that the bank is well maintained and useable at all times. If any problems occur they will be rectifi ed immediately.

Q. Is insurance required?A. We have full insurance cover in place.
