UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

SCOTTISH STUDENTSPART-TIME FEE GRANTDepending on your individual income you may be eligible for a part-time fee grant from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS). The grant gives help each year towards the cost of your tuition fees. The level of tuition fee SAAS will pay depends on the number of credits you are to undertake and the qualification you are studying. Further details available at www.saas.gov.uk/part_time/index.htm

RUK STUDENTSPART-TIME FEE LOANS/GRANTSDepending on your circumstances, part-time fee loans/grants may be available. Students should contact the relevant student finance –

POSTGRADUATE STUDENTSTUITION FEE LOANSThe Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) offer tuition fee loans for certain postgraduate courses. The tuition fee loan is only available to students who are undertaking at least 50% of a full-time course and therefore must complete their qualification in 2 years. Further details available at www.saas.gov.uk/part_time/pg/index.htm

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS The university offer Merit Scholarships for certain postgraduate courses. Details can be found on the individual course pages of our website.

MBA SCHOLARSHIP Aberdeen Business School is able to offer a limited number of scholarships to assist exceptionally able students who wish to undertake their MBA courses. Further details can be obtained at MBA Scholarship

The OPITO SCHOLARSHIP is open to students undertaking MSc studies relevant to the oil and gas industry at Aberdeen Business School. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and personal characteristics. CARNEGIE-CAMERON TAUGHT POSTGRADUATE BURSARYThe Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland funds bursaries available to students undertaking either a one year full-time or two year part-time taught postgraduate degree in any subject offered by the University. Applicants must be Scottish by birth, descent (at least one parent born in Scotland) or have been continuously resident in Scotland for a period of at least three years for the purpose of secondary or tertiary education in Scotland. ALL STUDENTSRGU: SPORT SCHOLARSHIP RGU: Sport offers a number of sports scholarships, sponsored by Technip, to promising sports men and women to support them in developing their talents and succeeding in their chosen sporting field whilst undertaking academic study. PROFESSIONAL AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT LOANS are deferred repayment bank loans to pay for courses and training that help with your career or help get you into work. Loans are usually offered at a reduced interest rate and the government pays interest while you’re studying. Further details available at www.gov.uk/career-development-loans

DISCRETIONARY FUNDS may be available to part-time students in financial difficulty to assist with course related costs but not with payment of tuition fees. Further details can be obtained by contacting Student Finance at the university.

EMERGENCY LOANSShort-term, interest free loans may be available depending on your circumstances. Further details can be obtained by contacting Student Finance at the university.

COURSE FEE PAYMENTS If you are studying via online distance learning or on a part-time basis, our flexible payment plan enables you to make a single one-off payment or spread the cost of your course fees throughout your duration of study with us.

We are able to make your study more affordable by requesting an initial payment of just 22% of your course fees for that year (not the total cost of the course), due before or on the day of enrolment.

PaymentsYour first payment will be due at enrolment and you must pay for this online by credit/debit card and then the remaining instalments can be paid in one of the following ways

• By credit/debit card • By bank transfer to the University’s Account

Standard Payment PlanThe standard payment plan for part-time courses and online distance learning courses is 22% of the total cost to be paid on or before enrolment followed by 6 equal payments of 13%
