What is #aspacenet?
• Project of Confederación ASPACE (Spain) with the support of Vodafone Spain Foundation
• Started in 2011• Improve quality of life of people with cerebral
palsy through the use of technology
Confederación ASPACE
• Main cerebral palsy organization in Spain
• Founded in 1984• +70 entities all around the country
• 18 000 people with cerebral palsy represented
• 6 000 professionals + volunteers
Cerebral Palsy
• Neuromotor disorder • Non-progressive lesion in the brain• Early childhood• High order functions usually
impaired – Memory, reasoning,
perception, language, etc.
Cerebral Palsy + ICTs
• Allow to perform some activities that would otherwise not be possible (or very difficult).– Communication (face to face or remotely)– Learning (access to textbooks, writing, etc.)– Environmental control (lights, doors, etc.)– Leisure– Labour market integration– …
