COMPANY HISTORY• 1969: Engineer Albert Rittmann founds

Functional Devices, Inc. in Russiaville, Indiana with three employees and two models of fire and heat sensor alarms.

• 1973: Product offering increases to 15 models.

• 1990: The original Relay in a Box® is released.

• 1993: Ken Rittmann (Albert’s son) becomes President.

• 1997: First current sensors & lighting control product is released.

• 2008: Full lighting controls product line launches.

• 2012: Production begins at second facility in Sharpsville, IN.

• 2014: Mark Fernandes is announced as President, with Ken Rittmann remaining as Owner.

• 2015: Functional Devices moves all operations to Sharpsville, IN location.

• 2019: Functional celebrates 50th Anniversary!

• 2019: Shorehill Capital purchases Functional Devices, Inc.
