Welcome

Ashby Camera Club has been welcoming and encouraging local photographers of all ages and abilities continuously since 1967.

The Club aims to provide an environment where everyone can enjoy exploring their photography, share experiences, receive constructive advice and feedback and enjoy the company of like-minded others, from all walks of life. The club has a buoyant membership and is always pleased to welcome new members.

The club offers a 12 month programme, and meetings and outings are arranged throughout the year, to cater for diverse tastes and interests.

In winter, activities are indoors for a series of talks, demonstrations and practical evenings, always with a view to improving skills and gaining fresh insights and inspiration. The Club’s competition schedule runs throughout the winter season. It offers members the chance to pit their photographic skills against other members, as well as seeing their work competing in external competitions against a number of other local clubs.

The summer programme offers outings to a variety of locations to allow members to test their skills. Venues for summer evening outings range from sporting events and historic buildings, to industrial sites and local nature reserves. Members often benefit from exclusive access to locations.
