YOU SAID IT... WE DID IT...

I feel my English is improving week by week. Excellent!!!

I enjoy the lessons but I have had a lot of different teachers.

We believe that having different teachers can be good for the students to see different teaching styles and even accents. However we know that changing teachers too often can be

difficult for some students. We always try to make sure that there is consistency with classes.

I like my class! Good!!!

Sometimes the book (Cutting Edge) is difficult to understand.

We have done some workshops with teachers on using the Cutting Edge books, please ask your teacher for help if you have problems understanding parts of the book, or you can go and

speak to Matt or Chris in room 7.

I want to improve my writing and reading.

We have made a policy of at least one piece of writing homework per week for all general English classes. If you are studying IELTS we recommend you go to the IELTS study support classes in the 2nd floor study centre from 3pm Monday to Thurs-day. We also recommend you try the writing and reading

activities on LSE-Learning; students other students have found these very useful.

Sometimes it is difficult to study in the study centre because other students are talking.

We have put up signs in the study centre reminding students that it is an area of ‘quiet study’. We also tell students this on their first day. If you are finding it difficult to concentrate due to noise then please tell us immediately and we will politely ask for quiet.
