INT. HOSPITAL ROOM- MORNING

EVE is lying in a hospital bed, unconscious. She is wearing anoxygen mask.

V.O.MUM

EVE? EVE?!

V.O.DAD

EVE get out of the house! Go!

V.O.EVE

MUM? DAD? No!

V.O.DAD

Get out, get out!

Fire roars and drowns out all other audio

Shot of EVEs feet running, EVE trips and falls just outside the house,she is then knocked unconscious. EVE remains lying on the floor.

V.O.MUM

(echoed) EVE? EVE?

EVE wakes up in the hospital bed; she struggles to take the gasmask off and is highly agitated.

EXT. RIVER THAMES- MIDDAY

EVE walks next to the river and puts her hands on the rails; shestares at the water for a moment and looks out across the river,

perhaps contemplating whether to jump in. She then walks away.

EXT. DOCTOR CLARKES OFFICE- MIDDAY

EVE stands outside DOCTOR CLARKEs office.

V.O.DOCTOR CLARKE

Its very hard for you to get closure on this, EVE.

INT. DOCTOR CLARKES OFFICE- MIDDAY

DOCTOR CLARKE and EVE are sitting opposite each other in front ofa fireplace.

DOCTOR CLARKE

You feel guilty just for simply having survived.

EVEIts more than that, Doctor. I want to forget, I do. But my mind

wont let me.

DOCTOR CLARKEThats why you need to take your medication, it will help you

forget.

EVE agrees reluctantly

INT. CHEMIST- MORNING

HENRY GILBERTHey there, EVE.

EVEHi, Mr Gilbert.

HENRY GILBERT

Is that a prescription I see there?

EVEYeah, thats right.

HENRY GILBERT takes the prescription, before heading out to theback room to retrieve the medicine. EVE stands waiting, as shelooks around blankly at the shelves of medicine and various othermedical products.

HENRY GILBERT

Here you go.

HENRY GILBERT passes over a paper bag filled with medicine overthe counter. EVE takes it from him.

HENRY GILBERTI was sorry to hear about your parents, EVE. They were great

people.

EVE

Thank you. (goes to leave)

EVEWill do, thanks Mr Gilbert.

HENRY GILBERTIts Henry, bye EVE.

EVE leaves the chemist and sees a figure from across the roadwatching her. As she turns to look directly at them, a bus drivespast and blocks her view. Once it has passed, the figure has gone.EVE is unsettled by this and walks off quickly, looking behind her.

INT. EVES BEDROOM- NIGHT

EVE is sleeping; she is restless and is thrashing her head side toside.

V.O.DOCTOR CLARKE

Memory is a curse, a disease that must be cured. If you let it, it willdestroy you.

EVE wakes up from her nightmare, screaming. Once she hascomposed herself, EVE rushes to the bathroom and takes two pills

from her medication bottle. She returns to bed and eventually fallsasleep.

EXT. FOREST- DUSK

EVE awakes and then sits up to find herself surrounded by trees, sheis panicking and confused. She walks around and upon hearing anoise, spins around. A GIRL similar in age to EVE stands close-byand stares at her, she is extremely pale and her eyes are mistedover. EVE goes to scream, but the GIRL puts her finger to her ownlips. EVE cautiously walks forwards, still taking in her surroundings.

She stops a few feet short of the GIRL.

EVEAre you okay? Do you need help?

GIRLHelp yourself.

The GIRL points towards the tree line where a figure of a malestands, he is holding a big black umbrella which conceals his face.

EVE is confused and looks back at the GIRL.

GIRL

Remember.

EVE takes another quick glance at the man but when she looks backthe GIRL has gone. She approaches the figure but as she getscloser, her vision begins to blur and she collapses.


EVE wakes up in her bed; she is clearly disturbed by her nightmare.She takes the pills off of her bedside table and stares at them beforewashing them down the sink.

INT. DOCTOR CLARKES OFFICE- MORNING

DOCTOR CLARKE: Are you still taking your medication?

EVE(nervous) I

DOCTOR CLARKE(sternly) EVE?

EVENo, (growing in confidence) Ive decided not to take them anymore.

DOCTOR CLARKE(in disbelief by her confidence but angry) That is not your decisionto make. I tell you when to stop taking them, do you understand?

EVE is clearly suspicious of DOCTOR CLARKEs reaction and beginsto distrust him.

EXT. FOREST- MIDDAY

EVE is growing increasingly paranoid; she walks around thewoodlands, attempting to clear her head. She hears a series ofvoices and noises that she does not understand.

Voice 3The fire, the fire

The voices become more distorted and are eventually drowned outby the clicking noise. EVE screams and everything goes quiet, she is

extremely distressed.


EVE is restless and begins to have nightmares.

EXT. FOREST- DUSK

EVE is running around the forest, she is confused and scared. Shestumbles around whilst attempting to wake herself up. The GIRLfrom her previous dream appears and walks towards EVE.

EVELeave me alone, please! Just go away!

GIRLRemember.

EVE cradles her head and falls onto the ground

EVE

I cant.

GIRLLook.

EVE reluctantly looks to the side to see the figure of the male, he isstill covered by his black umbrella. As she continues to look shesees he is holding a zippo lighter, he flips the lid back and forthcreating the clicking noise we heard earlier. EVE is scared andcloses her eyes.

EVEI dont want to see. Wake up, EVE. Wake up, please!

GIRLFear him.

EVE stares at the GIRL for a moment before realising she must lookback. As she looks at the figure, he begins to lift his umbrella. EVEsreaction indicates she has seen the figures face and recognisesthem.

(whispers) No.

EVE wakes up; she is no longer timid and weak. She gets straightout of bed, grabs her coat and leaves the house to confront herfamilys murderer.

INT. LOCATION UNCLEAR- NIGHT

EVE walks into a room and stands in the doorway.

EVE(Calm but dominant) I know what you did.
