Full Mouth Rehabilitation Comprehensive Course of 6 Days

Six days course: 3 modules (weekend course)

Module 1:-

Case Selection

1) Patient Selection and Patient Eligibility:

A. Patient consent

B. Case complexity • Dual arch reconstruction • Single large fixed bridges • Small and other devices (removable prosthodontics, veneers, etc)

C. Multidisciplinary practice: Consultation and collaboration with Periodontology; Endodontics; Oral surgery.

D. Occlusal analysis: Semi-adjustable articulator.

E. Photographic analysis.

2) Aesthetic Analysis:

A. Photography analysis

• PretreatmentFront Face: (1) Closed lips

(2) Simple smile (3) Full or big smile

(4) Close up nose lips and teeth smile

Side Face or Profile:(1) Closed lips (2) Smile simple

(3) Full or big smile

B. Paralleling Factors

C. Soft and hard tissues; “form and function” for final outcome(wax mock if needed)

D. Shade Selection

3) Treatment Selection/Analysis:

A. Periodontal status• Evaluation of plaque control and preexisting conditions (caries, leaking margins, other devices etc)• Techniques and cleaning devices

B. Fixed Bridge span• Length of bridge between pillars• Consideration for combination of several bridges or incorporation of removable partial denture devices.

C. Selection of Pillars• Considering the use of intermediate pillar or end fixed pillar• Final design modification

D. Endodontic treatment (mandatory and strategic)

E. Post/Core assessment• Analysis of post technique (material, length, parallel or conical, cast or prefabricated etc) overall need.

F. Articulators• Semi-adjustable simulators• Vertical dimensions and occlusal adjustments and• Face bow and wax registry transfer methods

4) Preparation of Pillars:

A. High speed handpieces

B. High speed burs and proper abrasiveness• Selection of burs• Design• Irrigation techniques

C. Margin selection

D. Location of Margins• At Margin• Subgingival preparations

E. Preparation of pillars• Intermediate• End terminal pillar• Considerations for removable partial dentures

F. Materials used for crown/bridge span

G. Provisionalization• Direct technique- stent technique

H. Surgical aesthetic pontic• Periodontal re-evaluation• Case selection re-evaluation

5) Evaluation of a Associated Treatments:

A. Endodontic cases: lack of sign and symptoms. Radiographic analysis

B. Periodontal evaluation: plaque under control and patient motivation

C. Oral surgeries (completed extractions or modified sites)

D. Shade Selection (document any changes or desires

III – Restorative Phase

1) Periodontal analysis for final completion- status- plaque control and motivational aspects from patient.

2) Endodontic evaluation: no sign and symptoms along with no radiographic signs

3) Provisionals (Temporaries)

4) Fixed appliances (crowns and bridges) cementation

5) Occlusal analysis

6) Removable Partial Denture Design (execute initial assessment):

A. Impression

B. Design (communicate to laboratory any special needs)

C. Base and other aspects (metals used and pontic design)

D. Devices (clasps adequate length or retention/ stability)

E. Delivery of removable partial denture (adjustments as needed)

7) Final Case:

A. Cementation of fixed crowns and bridges with permanent cement material

B. Delivery or adjustment of final removable partial denture design

C. Periodontal Evaluation• Cleaning aids• Cleaning techniques (threaders interproximal brushes)• Patient Motivation

D. Photography (if applicable) same as initial assessment (front and side)

8) Final Evaluation
