Usually in the world of sound and cinema, you have to choose between great design and great performance. There are exceptions of course, but in general, that’s the way it is. Especially when it comes to loudspeaker design; if it looks good, it’s unlikely to sound good, and for some reason, if it sounds good, it very rarely looks good. At Artcoustic, we have never accepted this idea. So when you buy an Artcoustic speaker, you get the best of both worlds. They sound great, because we have brought years of knowledge and experience to bear on designing speakers that reproduce music and movie soundtracks faithfully, accurately and in breathtaking detail and they appeal to the eye because we came up with the idea of interchangeable screens. Quite simply, you choose how your speakers look. We have a wide portfolio of beautiful patterns and designs, and of pictures from artists and photographers including an array of iconic images from the Getty Images Gallery. We also offer a bespoke printing service where you can provide an image, for example a commissioned artwork or photograph, and we print this on to screens for your speakers. As the screens are interchangeable the image can be changed whenever you like. You choose how your speakers look, so they always complement rather than conflict with any interior design.

Going back to the roots of traditional Danish loudspeaker design, Artcoustic has transformed the conventional loudspeaker with a modern look. Artcoustic Screens

The DF and Diablo range are designed to complement your interior and feature interchangeable screens which allow the client to tailor the look of the speakers and then change the design when ever they wish.Here you can see the DF65-50 X2 model with 4 different screen options. These designs are from the Artcoustic Art Portfolio.

1) A flat panel fixed screen display, such as an LCD or plasma screen

Ideal for everyday use, these systems give you large screen images for movies and games, whilst also being easy and flexible enough for everyday TV viewing.

2) A motorised drop-down projector screen

Offering a far larger image, this design offers a far more cinematic experience, and being a movable screen enables the large screen to disappear completely when not in use. Artcoustic Loudspeakers can provide a genuine cinematic experience when the screen is down, but remain a beautiful part of the room when the system is not in use. This is a very elegant and high performance solution if the cinema room is also the living room.

3) A fixed projector screen

The ultimate cinema room will feature a dedicated fixed screen with a projected image and the front stage loudspeakers installed behind the screen, just as a commercial cinema does. This provides the ultimate cinematic experience, but does require adedicated room.

Flat panel technology has lead the way in larger screen sizes and a more enjoyable movie experience at home. However, for that truly cinematicexperience, projection is the only way to do it. Artcoustic have years of experience in supplying speakers (as well as offering design and calibrationservices) to luxury commercial cinemas, luxury hotel screening rooms and the finest home cinemas across the world. Spitfire 7.1 Cinema System (incorporating a fixed projection screen)

For a dedicated cinema room, it is important that the front stage speakers are positioned in the correct place, namely behind the screen - not around it. This presentation vastly improves the steering and coherence of the soundtrack, pinning it perfectly to the large projected image. The Spitfire Monitors are our studio-grade monitoring loudspeaker, and offer incredible accuracy together with the dynamics and power needed for today’s movie soundtracks. The Superstar is a unique product, unlike anything else available. It provides stunning audio performance from a single source, with left and right channels together with a 10” bass unit all in one speaker. Compatible with any source, the Superstar is the perfect partner for sources such as iPod, Sonos, Squeezebox, Bose, B&O, Airport Express as well as zones from multiroom systems such as Crestron, AMX, Opus, Living Control, and zones from AV amps amongst others. Naturally for an Artcoustic product, the screen is interchangeable enabling the music system to work aesthetically with any interior. It is perfect for so many applications, for example living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, gyms, studies, dining rooms, as well as commercial applications such as cafés, bars, restaurants, offices, hotel rooms and spas.

The Superstar features the same components found in the rest of the Artcoustic range, including a 10" bass unit to really let the system play deep notes. No other all-in-one system plays with the same depth and authority as the Superstar.

The Superstar is offered in two versions depending upon the application. Both offer the same performance when using the PA260 amplifier.

An Active version has the powerful amplifier built in, making it perfect for local sources, stand-alone systems and where space is at a premium. A Passive version is also offered separating the amplifier from the speaker enabling the amplifier to be placed in a rack for multi-room applications, or be housed elsewhere for stand-alone systems

As a multi room speaker the Superstar is an excellent option. The built in PA260 amplifier ensures this is a superb active speaker for quality multi-room applications. Or choose the Superstar Passive which allows the PA260 to be placed in your system rack.
