Recruitment and Internship Themes (1/2)
1Causal discovery leveraging graph structure
The causal relationships between the features of objects are strongly affected by their conditions, environment, and relationship between the objects represented by a graph structure such as social networks. In this theme, we develop causal discovery techniques leveraging a graph structure by improving technologies such as graph neural networks and their recent advancements.
2Improvement of causal discovery techniques
Causal discovery techniques are paid much attention recently. However there remain several fundamental issues in order to apply the techniques to real-world problems. In this theme, we tackle the issues from both theoretical and application points of view, such as confounding factors, too many variables or insufficient samples, and the nonlinearity of the causal relationship.
3Algorithm development for Representation Learning
Evaluation and development of AI algorithms for image/text recognition based on representation learning techniques, such as generative models and Transformers.
4Object association among multiple images using Deep Learning
In general, Deep Learning requires high-quality labeled data. However, for the task of object detection, such high-quality data is too expensive to generate. In this theme, we study data collection techniques with weakly labeled data at a lower cost, and learning methods for object detection using the collected data.
5Investigation of data analysis techniques using a new TDA algorithm
Topological Data Analysis(TDA) is a data analysis technique that is attracting much attention, and Fujitsu is also developing techniques and tools for applying it to ML. Recently, new algorithms for the core of TDA technology have been proposed. In this theme, we investigate whether our technique can be improved by using these new algorithms.

Recruitment and Internship Themes (2/2)
6Brain-inspired AI technology for multi modal learning
Out-of-Distribution (OoD) generalization is one of hot research areas in AI because this is very important to create a robust AI, which performs as accurate as in training phase. In this theme, we study a multi modal learning for OoDgeneralization inspired by human brain.
7 Few-Shot Learning for 3D detection
Few Shot Learning (FSL), where an AI system is trying to classify or detect objects unseen during training, is becoming a very hot topic. In this theme we develop methods for applying FSL to 3D point cloud data, such as the one generated by 3D scanners and LiDAR sensors. The project will focus on studying and improving performance when the 3D data is of low data quality (e.g. noisy scans, occlusion etc).
8 Program Synthesis for Machine Learning
AutoML is one of the technologies that accelerates software development in Machine Learning (ML) field. Our research is to help ML model creation by using program synthesis technologies as AutoML. In this theme, the candidate joins our research team as a member and creates the program synthesis technology together.
9 Analysis of trend on SNS and salesDevelopment of Natural Language Processing technologies to detect macro trend in specific items on SNS, and analysis of the effects on sales.
10 Behavior analysis on SNSDevelopment of Natural Language Processing technologies to extract actions written in SNS in order to analyze behavior in specific area and period.
11Development and Evaluation of AI System Debugging Technology
As AI continues to spread rapidly, there is a growing debate about the impact of AI quality on society. If the AI produces undesirable output, developers will have to relearn to fix it, but it's hard to fix it reliably. As a technology for quality control during the development and operation of AI systems, Fujitsu is developing debugging technologies for AI systems that use a software engineering approach. In this theme, we will implement and evaluate improvements to the debugging technology of the AI system.
