Hass Petroleum is a renowned regional oil marketing company, incorporated in 1997, with a significant presence in East Africa and the Great Lakes region.

We invest heavily in storage facilities as well as retail station networks and supply chain infrastructures to establish a solid and reputable

partnership both on the supply and demand side.

Our product range consists of all white oils namely: Diesel, Petrol and Kerosene, Liquefied Petroleum

Gas (LPG) and our own brand of lubricants, blended to world-class standards.

About Hass

We have depots strategically located at the port of Berbera, Mogadishu (both along the Somali coastal line), Mombasa (our ‘Northern Corridor’) and Dar es Salaam where we have a terminal with an installed capacity of 25million litres and the potential to increase 40 million litres.

Given our logistical capability, we are able to provide optimal product flow to our business units in the landlocked countries in the region thereby providing operational flexibility to service the market demand for the region.

To address business growth, we continue to invest in human capital; building a strong, youthful, motivated and highly qualified team to take us to the next level. The staff number over the recent years has pinnacled to over 600, spread out across the region. Being a key member of the oil industry in the region, we work closely with other stakeholders in the industry, such as: The Petroleum Institute of East Africa and the National Regulatory Authorities in the region.

Our corporate headquarters located in Kenya at Lower Hill Road in Upper Hill, Nairobi also acts as the reference hub of our ‘Northern Corridor’.

Nairobi is the ‘heart’ of Hass Petroleum Kenya operations and management, overseeing our wholesale marketing, bulk selling and fully-fledged stations in the country, i.e. Nairobi, Kisumu, Narok, Kericho, Eldoret, Mumias, Rongo, Kapsabet and Mombasa.

Our strengths in petroleum imports and exports, efficient distribution networks, bulk trading coupled with cutting edge technology to manage the investments made in the country has positioned us on the way to be the leading indigenous oil marketer in Kenya and the entire East Africa region.

Kenya’s Mombasa port by virtue of its geographical positioning provides the entry points for importation of products for the ‘Northern Corridor’ covering Kenya, Uganda, North Eastern D. R. C and South Sudan.

Apart from the retail market, we also provide a number of products to consumers in the manufacturing, agricultural, rail, road, construction sector and international development agencies in and around the country; they include: Rift Valley Railways (K) Limited, UNHCR, RVR Sinohydro Corporation, Athi River Steel Plant and Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) factories across the country, UNICEF-Kenya.

Our Regional ReachHass Petroleum UgandaWe are a prominent player in the oil marketing sector in Uganda, commanding a retail network of 25 petrol stations spread out across the country in strategic locations.

This enables us to provide seamless supply of petroleum products, penetrating urban and rural markets in the country.

The hallmark of our business in Uganda is consistent supply despite industry challenges whilst maintaining compliance with established best practices in the industry.

We supply a number of large scale consumers and industries in the country, they include: Warid Telecommunication Limited, Salini Construction Limited, SBI Construction Limited, Kinyara Sugar Company and Rift Valley Railway

Hass Petroleum TanzaniaOur Dar es Salaam storage terminal of 25 million litres serves as the

hub of our ‘Southern Corridor’ i.e. – Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Eastern Congo and Zambia.

Hass Tanzania is prominent in the wholesale market covering – transport, major construction companies,

mining sector, independent outlets and bulk re-sellers.

The company also operates a number of stations in the northern regions of the country.

Hass Petroleum Democratic Republic of CongoThe company is well established in the D.R.C regions neighbouring Uganda and Tanzania i.e. Katanga, North and South Kivu and Orientale provinces.

Our D.R.C headquarter is in Lubumbashi, Katanga, where we have a 2.5 million litres depot. This storage facility supported by our Dar es Salaam terminal enables us to service our contractual obligations with major corporate companies in the mining sector and our retail network.

With our massive capacity, we can hold stock and replenish our customers at the point of consumption.

Our key clientele include: major mining houses, large-scale construction companies, the transport sector and independent bulk re-sellers.

The hallmark of the Hass brand in D.R.C is the consistency of supply, hinged on our central oil terminal in Dar es Salaam that assures product supply to these landlocked areas of the Eastern D.R. C.

Hass Petroleum South SudanThe untapped potential in this vast country is what attracted Hass to this region.

After the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005, we ventured into South Sudan and set our footprints here in line with our brand vision of Servicing New Frontiers.

Our one million litre installed capacity depot in Juba, South Sudan caters for the local consumption and enables us to operate our network of stations spread across Juba city and the urban towns of Torit, Kapoeta, Yei and Yambio, and Hass branded dealer stations.

We service customers in major construction sector, power plants, transport, international agencies, and motorists through our retail stations. Hass South Sudan was the pioneering indigenous East African Oil Marketing Company to launch retail stations with innovative concept of container service stations to meet the growing demand for the Country as it sought independence.

Hass Petroleum RwandaHass is able to support this landlocked country through our major terminal in Dar es Salaam, supplemented when necessary by supplies through the Mombasa transit corridor.

The company operates a retail network of stations in the key towns of Nyabugogo, Gikondo and Gisenyi.

The Rwanda office also serves the neighbouring regional markets of Burundi and North and South Kivu markets of D.R.C. Our key clientele include the local power plant, independent re-sellers and the transport sector.

Our Newest Innovations

Hass Petroleum now offers a fully fledged LPG brand through its extensive network across the region under the brand name Hass Gas. This new LPG product range offers customer’s quality, safe and reliable gas.

Our core strength in the LPG market lies in the fact that we offer a gas regulator that addresses the consumer need of knowing the actual reserve of gas in their cylinders.

Our Quality Control MeasuresHASS is committed to the highest standards and always strive to address customer satisfaction through continuous improvements. We are committed to the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality in all our operations. The management strives for high standards of operations, high quality products, protection of the environment, satisfactory deliveries and compliance with statutory legislation.

HASS has a fully fledged Project Engineering and Installation team that is complemented by selected contractors with a vast knowledge in the petroleum industry. Our Engineering team is responsible for the maintenance of all our equipment. We ensure that all our installations meet the requirements of the National Environmental Monitoring Authority and that they are installed with the factors of Health, Safety and Quality in mind.

Our Distribution NetworkFleet Logistics

In March 2007, Fleet Logistics was incorporated in Kenya as a transport solutions provider for theHass Group.

Fleet Logistics has grown to include Fleet Kenya serving the northern corridor while Fleet Tanzania the southern corridor. To ensure that we meet customer needs in a timely manner, Fleet Logisticshas an array of semi-trailer tankers that cover the entire road transport needs for the Hass Group

in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and D.R.C for petroleum products, lubes and LPG.

To meet the growing demands for our products in the region, Fleet Logistics has embarked on a major expansion program in the

two corridors.

Fleet Logistics has a high safety record that assures customers of fuel integrity and reliable delivery.

This is enhanced by their advanced tracking and monitoring systems. Additionally,

Fleet Logistics is a member of the Kenya Transport Association.

The fleet of trucks and products are all adequately insured given

the sizeable investment.

Kenya

We fund the Hass Petroleum Charitable Trust which manages several institutions for orphans, early-childhood education schools and hostels for girls. The Charitable Trust also supplements the Kenya government development programs in northern Kenya arid and semi-arid areas through the provision of funds for integrated schools, libraries, water points and medical clinics.

During the various recurrent droughts, the Charitable Trust donates relief supplies and medicines to drought victims.

South Sudan

As corporate citizens of South Sudan, we take part in a number of social and support activities in the country. At the same time, we are the main sponsors of the Atlabara Football Club.
