Schleuniger® Pharm atron housing w ill start in

N ovem ber. There is no change in functionality, U SP

com pliance or pricing. The SOTA X-style FT 2 is no longer

available as of D ecem ber 2014. All confirm ed orders

(until 26 N ovem ber 2014) w ill be shipped w ith the

SO TAX-style FT 2 design.

Features and benefits

The front-load FT 2 friability tester w ith 1 or 2 drum s

excels w ith sim ple and user-friendly operation and

fulfills all U SP and EP 2.9.7 requirem ents.

Repeatabil ity guaranteed.

The FT 2 features a m aintenance-free drive w ith

program m able rotational speed (20 50 rpm ) and

ensures gentle starting and stopping of the drum . The

anti-static drum s are designed to fully engage w ith the

drive to prevent any slippage.

User-f r iendly operation.

At test start, the drum is autom atically positioned for

tablet loading. An opening in the anti-static drum allow s

tablets to be conveniently inserted w ithout having to

rem ove the drum . At the end of the test, the tablets are

autom atically discharged into a tray.

GMP/GLP-compliant repor ting.

W eight readings before and after each test run can be

either entered m anually or collected autom atically from

a connected analytical balance. Printed reports include

test param eters, tim e and date, and serial num ber of the

instrum ent along w ith entry fields for user nam e and

product details.

q-doc P C softw are allow s you to collect and m anage

data from all SO TAX and D r. Schleuniger® Pharm atron

physical testing instrum ents from tablet hardness

testers to disintegration, friability, tap density andflow ability testers. In addition, other equipm ent such as

analytical balances (M ettler Toledo® and S artorius® ),

M itutoyo thickness gauges, Preisser gauges, and

M ettler halogen m oisture analyzers can be connected.

In a netw orked environm ent, batches only need to be

registered once in order to collect m easurem ent data

from different instrum ents. M easurem ent reports and

batch reports can be electronically judged and released

directly in q-doc if desired and im port/export

functionalities for LIM S are readily available.
