The brand FingerTec was born in 2000, with avisionary objective of bringing the then high-techfingerprint technology normally used by governmentsectors into a technology that is viable, affordableand reachable by the mass commercial market. Itsfirst 5-year plan was dedicated to the R&D incubation,mainly targeted in improving the fingerprintmatching algorithm, the product’s robustness anduser-friendliness; in short to provide fundamentalsfor the brand to soar high when it was launched.
Within those 5 years, Finger Tec had won 3international awards as recognition for its technologyadvancement.
In 2005, FingerTec embarked on the next 5-year plan,which focused more on worldwide market expansion. The plan deployed new branding concepts andstrategies, which included product D-I-Y and Internetsupport & marketing, while continuing its efforts toimprove the R&D. The result was stunning; it elevatedFingerTec as one of the most recognized biometricbrands in the world in a shor t period of time. With allthe above-mentioned elements, FingerTec managedto spread its wings fast and far, doubling its salesevery year with its product presence in around 100countries within the past five years.
To further strengthen FingerTec’s global position, thethird phase of the 5-year plan was introduced in 2010
with a transparent objective to achieve business andtechnology transformation. We aim to climb thevertical ladder to provide comprehensive solutionsfor the access control market, and to employcloud-computing technology for deployment in thetime and attendance industry. The use of the Androidplatform and other Biometric features such as faceand vein recognition would be a part of the FingerTectechnology transformation plan to enhance our newproduct lines.
