Fire Safety Services (UK) Ltd was formed in 1999 byManaging Director, David Murfitt. With service centresacross the UK, Fire Safety Services provides nationaland local coverage to many clients from a diverserange of business sectors. The company headquartersis in Kempston, Bedford.

“My career in the fire safety industry began nearly 30years ago, when I started as a fire extinguisher sales andservice engineer in the early 1980s. From here I wentinto direct sales and progressed to managing a majorservice centre for a large plc. I saw a fantasticopportunity to build a fire protection business, based onthe provision of excellent products, service and addedvalue from highly qualified personnel.”

Fire Doors & Passive ProtectionFire Safety Services carry out Fire door inspectionsand provide you with a report to determine what isrequired for your doors to comply with the RegulatoryReform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Additional servicesinclude: fire door repairs and replacements, firestopping, integrity testing and sealing.

Fire TrainingOur training courses are run by our own trainers andcertificates of attendance are awarded to all delegates.Courses include: fire safety awareness, fire warden,practical fire extinguisher and single delegate training.

Fire EvacuationWe are qualified to meet all fire evacuationrequirements. Services include: fully documented fireemergency evacuation plans, monitored anddocumented on-site fire drills and fire evacuations, andevacuation chairs supply and user training.

Dry Risers & Fire HydrantsFire Safety Services provides scheduled maintenanceand testing to wet and dry rising fire mains, and firehydrants in accordance with BS9990. Fire brigadeequipment can also be supplied.

Portable Appliance TestingFire Safety Services offers portable appliance testing(PAT) services, including remedial works.
