Cause and PrerequisitesYou want to install and use SAP Credit Management 6.0.

SolutionSAP Credit Management contains the following parts which are delivered bymeans of separate software components:

o The central component which is delivered by means of the softwarecomponent Financial Basis 6.0 (technical name FINBASIS 600). The XIContent also belongs to the software component version FINBASIS 00.This Content requires the SAP Exchange Infrastructure Release 7.0.

o The integration with the Accounts Receivable (FI-AR) and Sales(SD-SLS) which is delivered by means of the SAP R/3 plug-in 2004.1for Releases R/3 4.6C, R/3 Enterprise 4.70 and SAP ERP CentralComponent 5.0 and 6.0. (Technical names of the software componentversions: PI 2004_1_46C, or PI 2004_1_470, or PI 2004_1_500). XIContent belongs to each of these software component versions.

o Business Intelligence Content which is delivered with ReleaseBI_CONT 3.52.

The following installation instructions are intended for these softwarecomponents and they describe the prerequisites and procedure for installingthe software components:

o Financial Basis 6.0: Note 852446. If the software componentFinancial Basis is already installed in the relevant system and youhave to execute it only after you upgrade Financial Basis toRelease 6.0, see Note 852448 instead of the note mentioned above.SAP R/3 plug-in 2004.1: Note 704564.SAP Exchange Infrastructure 30: Note 664107SAP Exchange Infrastructure 70: ?Business Intelligence Content 3.52: Note 717812

You have the following options depending on the release of your AccountsReceivable or SD systems:If your Accounts Receivable or SD systems run in a system with Release ERP2005 or higher, you have the following two options for installing theCredit Management:

o You can install the software component Financial Basis 6.0 in thissystem.

o You can install the software component Financial Basis 6.0 in

another system that fulfills the installation prerequisites ofFinancial Basis 6.0 (in particular, you can install this componenton a separate system that is used for Credit Management only).

If your Accounts Receivable or SD systems have a release status lower thanERP 2005, you can perform the following only:

o Because R/3 4.6C, R/3 Enterprise of 4.70 and ERP2004 do not meetthe installation prerequisites of Financial Basis 6.0, you have toinstall the software component Financial Basis 6.0 on anothersystem that fulfills the installation prerequisites of FinancialBasis 6.0 (in particular, you can install this component on aseparate system that is used for Credit Management only).

The Accounts Receivable and SD systems always communicate with the CreditManagement via the Exchange Infrastructure (Release 7.0), regardless of thesystem on which the Credit Management is installed.

Accounts Receivable and SD systems with a release status lower than R/34.6C are not supported by SAP Credit Management 6.0.

If you have several Accounts Receivable or SD systems that you want tointegrate with SAP Credit Management 6.0, you can also install theFinancial Basis 6.0 in a system and integrate several Accounts Receivableor SD systems with this system via the Exchange Infrastructure. The systemin which you install Financial Basis 6.0 could also be one of your AccountsReceivable or SD systems if these systems meet the installationprerequisites of Financial Basis 6.0.

SAP R/3 plug-in 2004.1 must be installed in every Accounts Receivable andSD system with a release status lower than ECC 6.0 that is supposed to belinked to SAP Credit Management.

In addition to the installation prerequisites mentioned in the installationinstructions, you have to import the following Support Package statuses orimplement the following notes to use SAP Credit Management 6.0:In the system in which you install Financial Basis 6.0:

Public Sector Records Management (PSRM)The PSRM is based on the Basis Case Management in the exact same way as thecredit limit change requests. However, the PSRM cannot be used in a clientwith other Case Management-based applications. In particular, it cannot beused with the Credit Management in a client if the credit limit changerequest function is supposed to be used.

ImportantBear in mind the following:The master data of the SAP Credit Management is implemented as anenhancement of the SAP business partner. For every business partner youwant to monitor in the SAP Credit Management, there must be a master recordof the central business partner in the system and client in which Credit Management runs.The distribution of the business partner master records in a systemlandscape with distributed systems is not a function of the SAP CreditManagement. This function can be implemented with the Master DataManagement (MDM) or with an individual project solution.Note 806289 describes a possible procedure for implementing an individualproject solution of this type for a 2-system scenario.A further option for replicating master data is provided in the standardsystem with the subsequent Release ERP2005 if the following prerequisitesare met:

1. SAP Credit Management is used in a 1 or 2-system scenario. There areseveral Accounts Receivable systems with an integrated Financial Basissystem for Credit Management.

2. ECC 6.0 is available in either the Accounts Receivable system or inthe system in which Financial Basis is installed.

3. You can then replicate master data using the customer/vendor masterdata synchronization. There is more information about this in the IMGunder Cross-application Components -> Master Data Synchronization.
