a) Benefits of this method:
1. Our study reveals that this method will result in between 15% and 25%
reduction in sourcing prices for HORECA,
2. Prices will be fixed on a daily basis and invoice will be sent for processing
3. Option will be open to find alternate vendors
4. A win-win situation for all the concerned incl. farmers.
b) Pre-requisite:
1. Customer need to have basic understanding about the market price & trend
2. Need to refer our “price circular” and give the indent/ place the order
3. Be prepared to make payment frequently at least with a week.
Our commitment: We willshow the tangible benefit inthe option 1.
Basic requirement will be“Fixed prices” for the cropscommitted with previousvendors for last one or twoseasons.
This is to compare a) thebenefit we are proposed tooffer during current seasonand b) what has happened lastseason.
Option 2: Yes to restricted credit period and fixed prices…
a) Credit period: Our model covers 30 days credit period (in practice max. 45 days
from the date of first delivery).
b) Benefits: 1) produce available on credit for the duration and b) one time payment
for the entire credit period.
c) Disadvantage: Customer forgoes the cash benefit to the tune of 15% and 25%
reduction in sourcing prices. Option will not be open to find alternate vendors.
d) Reasons for higher prices under Option 2: 1) cost of capital and b) price trend &
seasonality and other risk factors.
