Early years: David Frost born 43 years ago in Brampton. Att ends Bramalea Secondary School. Late 1980s: Coached Tier II junior hockey in Brampton. Summer, 1991: Lands job as coach o MTHL’s Toronto Young Nationals atom team. Convinces Brampton hockey dad Steve Jeerson to let his son, Mike, play or the Young Nats. 1995-96: Frost guides Young Nats to all-Ontario bantam title. Team members include Jeerson, ormer NHLer Sheldon Keee and Joe Goodenow, son o then NHLPA boss Bob Goodenow. Spring, 1996: MTHL president John Gardner suspends Frost ollowing numerous complaints rom parents, as well as allegations he orged the team general manager’s signature on player release orms. Aug. 1996: Frost named assistant coach o the Quinte Hawks (Metro Jr. Hockey League), bringing ormer Nats Jeerson, Keee, Shawn Cation and Ryan Barnes, with him. Frost becomes head coach o the Deseronto-based team a ew months later. April 1997: Fros t charged with assaulting Quinte Hawks’ Darryl Tiveron, sucker-punching the player as he skated to the bench. Frost pleads guilty, earning 12 months probation and a small fne. May 1997: Jeerson drated by OHL Sarnia Sting, but traded during his rookie season to St. Mike’s Majors. Jan. 1999: Jeerson, Kee e, Cation and Barnes traded to Barrie Colts ater Majors run out o patience with Frost — their agent — who among other things is seen to be coaching the p layers rom the stands. June 24, 2000: Jeerson drated in the fth round (135th over-all) by the New Jersey Devils. Frost negotiates three-year, $1.3 million contract or the winger. Summer, 2000: An alleged hazing incident involving Mike Jeerson’ s younger brother T om includes the 13-year-old being duct-taped naked to a bunk bed at Frost’s Kingston-ar ea cottage and being shot at with a BB gun. June 20, 2001: Steve and Sue Jeerson turn over photos o the alleged hazing to NHLPA psychologist Dr. Brian Shaw, who contacts Children’s Aid Society and the OPP. Police investigate but no charges are laid. Fall 2001: New Jersey Devils suspend Jeerson or season ater Frost directs him not to report to the AHL Albany River Rats. July 2002: Jeerson goes to court to have his name legally changed to Michael Danton, while NHLPA boss Goodenow agrees to certiy Frost as a player agent in good standing. June 21, 2003: Devils trade Danton to St. Louis. That same summer, Danton and Keee purchase the Pembroke Lumber Kings o the Central Jr. Hockey League. Frost joins them in Pembroke, working as a team scout. 2004: Frost is banned rom the Central League ollowing a post-game altercation with a re. The suspension is lited ater Frost threatens legal action. March 2004: Danton meets fgure skater Katie Wolmeyer at St. Louis rink. Soon ater, Danton oers St. Louis strip club bouncer Ron Jones $10,000 to kill Frost. April 16, 2004: FBI agents arrest Danton or conspiracy to commit murder. Wolmeyer is also charged, but later acquitted. July 16, 2004: Danton pleads guilty to the murder-or-hire scheme and on Nov. 8 is sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison. Dec. 2005: Frost resigns as a registered player agent with the NHLPA. April 2006: Frost leaves the Lumber Kings to open the Juice Nightclub in Kingston. The club is bankrupt by October. Aug. 2006: OPP arrest Frost outside the Juice Nightclub, charging him with 12 counts o sexual exploitation and one count o assault. The charges , dating rom 1995-2001, relate to alleged sexual misconduct involving three 14-16 year-old girls and our boys o similar age. March 23, 2007: Frost charged with raud, impersonation and breach o probation or allegedly using Danton’s credit card to buy gas. Nov. 29, 2008: An Ontario judge acquits Frost o all sexual exploitation and assault charges. Feb. 14, 2009: Charges o credit card raud are dismissed ater Danton tells court he let Frost use the cards.
