Monday Oct. 4 began the spirit week festivities during lunch, where music was played and the grades competed against each other in fun games. Students dressed as their favorite Marvel characters for Marvel Monday. Characters such as the Hulk, Iron Man and Wolverine strutted around the campus like it was movie set. Twin Tuesday proved to be a success when everywhere you looked there seemed to be doubles. The students got the opportunity to be a prince or princess for a day or any Disney character for Walt Disney Wednesday. Then it looked like a flashback to the 1980s with everyone sporting neon attire for Totally Neon Thursday, and finally on Fighting Irish Friday, students showed their true school spirit. Hair was painted green, students wore customized green and gold shirts, and chants were screamed. Senior Executive Board President Georgette Aldrete said, “More students could have participated in spirit week but other than that, Homecoming week was a success.” Spirit week concluded with the Homecoming pep rally on Above: The football team put forth their best effort to win the game against the Bruins, but lost 0-28. Homecoming 2010

Although the Homecoming game against Bonnabel was a loss, spirit week, the pep rally, and the dance lifted students’ school spirit.
