We’re proud of the fact that the school has been consistently ranked in the top seven alternative campuses in the Colorado. At Frontier High School, we offer small class sizes and we’re structured to provide individualized learning through an interactive curriculum. We also have a significant focus on proactively supporting the social-emotional needs of our students. We follow a modified four-day per week schedule. School is in session Tuesday through Friday. This schedule provides greater flexibility and a structure that addresses our students’ unique social-emotional and academic needs. One Monday a month, students focus on their post-secondary plans. Activities are organized by school staff to help students gain a better grasp of the options available to them after graduation. Our students spend the first part of each school day in Block Time, or a dedicated period for independent study or credit recovery. During this time, teachers are available to support students as they work on projects – such as their Passion Projects or required capstone portfolio project. Throughout the school year, students also participate in team-building activities, community service learning and experiential education opportunities through trips to places such as Great Sand Dunes National Park, Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site, ski trips and more. We invite you to visit Frontier High School to learn more about all we offer students with non-traditional needs.
