technical training and support delivered by the Directors has resulted in enhanced knowledge of

engineering and technical disciplines within the Frontier recruitment team. This technical knowledge within

How Does Frontier Attract the Best Talent? Frontier’s policy for recruitment of high quality personnel consists of a number of interconnected strategies including

the following:

The hands-on operator and service company experience of Frontier senior management has resulted, not only in a depth of understanding of the roles to be filled, but also in far reaching personal (and co-operative) networks of engineering and technical contacts which are utilised to reach deeper into the candidate market for referrals that would not be available through the normal recruitment channels. When a vacancy is received from a client this is immediately posted to the Frontier website (www.frontierinternational.co) job vacancy pages via the Frontier recruitment database system. The website and database are directly connected so that vacancy information updated in the database is also updated in real time on the website. Similarly, information from candidates applying for positions via the website is captured in the database in real time. When the vacancy is posted to the website it is simultaneously posted to several other selected specialist job boards that Frontier subscribe to. In this way the vacancy is advertised across as wide a platform as possible, often within minutes of being received from the client. Many candidates monitor the Frontier website on a regular basis and some candidates, for specific vacancies, are generated in this way. Additionally many potential candidates register for future vacancies via the website even though they may not be applying for a current vacancy. Candidates submitting CVs in this way are screened and, if considered suitable for future vacancies, are added to the database. Frontier have a registration system which allows potential candidates to opt for job alerts which are sent automatically via e-mail directly to the candidate when a job vacancy matching the candidate’s pre-selected criteria is posted to the website. Contractors are encouraged to register for job alerts and many register for job alerts even though they may not be actively be looking for work at the time but will still confirm an interest when they receive a job alert that looks potentially interesting to them. Frontier also maintain a candidate “hotlist” shared amongst all the recruiters of candidates who are known to be already looking for their next project or coming close to the end of a project so that they can be contacted immediately a vacancy arises that they are considered to be suitable for. The Company maintains a database of over 42,000 industry professionals covering all the oil industry engineering & technical disciplines. The professional personnel in the database are screened for suitability before being entered into the database and the database is fully searchable enabling a short list of potential candidates to be drawn up very quickly. The database is also used to draw up lists of personnel to be contacted for referrals for vacancies even though they may not be suitable for the vacancy themselves or may not be interested themselves. This enables candidates to be identified who may not be actively looking for work but may, nevertheless, be interested in specific vacancies. Additionally Frontier subscribe to a number of specialist international databases that are also searched for candidates and referrals in the same way that the Frontier database is used. Frontier maintains corporate LinkedIn licences for it’s recruiters and researchers which provide access to all subscribers to the LinkedIn network (rather than only to 1st, 2nd and 3rd level contacts as is the case with personal LinkedIn account) these are utilised extensively to identify candidates or request referrals to candidate who

may not be actively looking for work.

Referrals of one kind or another from industry professionals provide Frontier with the best source of passive

candidates (those not actively looking for work) and these are regularly generated from the strategies already

mentioned above. In addition, Frontier have recently implemented a strategy of organising events and competitions

designed to generate further referrals.

Some or all of the above mentioned strategies are applied to each new vacancy as appropriate with the emphasis on

getting to candidates who are unlikely to be actively looking at advertised vacancies as well as those who are.

Frontier HSEQ Frontier operates a robust HSEQ management system in accordance with ISO9001 2008 and is accredited by FPal,

Achilles and ISNetworld. Frontier is also a “Verified” FPal/Achilles supplier. Quality management is aimed at capturing

best practice and at continuous improvement in recruitment policies and procedures. The system is audited by our

major oil & gas clients and Plexus are welcome to audit the system or receive a full electronic copy for review.

Is Frontier Able to Deal with Local Tax, Payroll and Support Issues Internationally? Frontier’s strategy has been to set up an organisation capable of providing global payroll, compliance and concierge

solutions (including onboarding, tax compliance, visas, work permits, etc.) to support our global recruitment business.

The objective is for Frontier to be able to provide these local services to our oil & gas customers globally wherever

they might be required.

Is Frontier Able to Assist its Clients with their Benchmarking Activity? Frontier continuously monitors minimum and maximum pay rates, UK and international, for all of the engineering

and technical disciplines within the company’s scope of supply. This data is routinely shared with a number of major

clients including BP, Shell and Talisman. Taking the example of one major Operator as a case study, Frontier provides

data to the contract holder on a quarterly basis for a range of disciplines selected by the Operator. This data is then

plotted against similar data provided by other recruitment agencies on the Operators preferred supplier list and

against data from the Operator’s own working contractors. This information is used by the Operator to adjust pay
