SCREEN INTEGRATIONThe Lumen Park Assist Video Overlay System integrates with the vehicles factory coloured screen allowing for additional parking assistance information to be displayed and viewed by the driver. The system displays the distance between the vehicle and the surrounding objects both at the front and rear of the vehicle. When a vehicle is placed into reverse, the image from the vehicle reversing camera is displayed on the screen overlayed with the distance information from the park assist. The overlayed image graphically displays the distance between the vehicle and the surrounding objects.

If a reverse camera is not installed a graphical representation of the vehicle with park assist information is displayed. When not in reverse only the front sensors are active and distance information from the front sensors is displayed.

RPA - REVERSE PARKING AID

The Reverse Parking System is enabled when the reverse gear is selected. The driver is alerted to any objects present within the detection range by an audible or visual alert. As the target object moves closer to the vehicle, the audible alert to the driver increases in intensity to warn the driver. The Lumen RPA standard configuration utilises 2 or 4 rear sensors mounted in the vehicle rear fascia (bumper). Each kit is specifically designed to suit the vehicles colour, wiring and styling. Dedicated patch harnesses are used to interface seamlessly with the vehicle electrical system for a plug-and-play solution. Sensors are painted in accordance with strict requirements to provide an exact match to the existing vehicle colour and styling.

Additional Features: The RPA System includes additional technology to improve upon the detection range of conventional ultrasonic parking systems. This includes the new “triangulation” method of detection, where small and odd-shaped objects can be more easily detected using complex software algorithms. Upon initialisation, the RPA memory feature allows for mapping of the rear of the vehicle to record any objects which are permanently attached to the vehicle. This ensures any objects such as towbars and spare wheels are not falsely detected as moving objects. When connected to a Lumen approved trailer wiring system, the RPA will automatically disable when a caravan or other tow vehicle is attached.

FPA - FRONT PARKING AID

When the vehicle speed is below the configured cut-off speed (15km/h or less), the front sensors are activated.

The driver is alerted to any objects present within the detection range by an audible or visual alert. As the target object moves closer to the vehicle, the audible alert to the driver increases in intensity to warn the driver. The Lumen

FPA can be used as a 4 sensor system for full front detection, or 2 sensor corner system to

assist with vehicle parking. The on-board speed sensing module can be easily configured to suit various vehicle electrical architectures and speed pulse requirements. The FPA system also allows for

additional inputs to disable the FPA system including an independent disable switch, disable upon park brake engaged

or reverse gear selected options. In addition to the audible alert, a visual display can be fitted to the system to alert the

driver visually.

Additional Features:The FPA System includes additional technology to improve upon

the detection range of conventional ultrasonic parking systems. This includes the new “triangulation” method of detection, where

small and odd-shaped objects can be more easily detected using complex software algorithms.
