Family Bingo Night
Our P & F Welcome Function—Family Bingo night held last Saturday
24 February was a great success! Approximately 50 participants honed
their number and listening skills whilst joining in this fun event. A big
thank you to our coordinators Rechell Naughton and Craig Croker.
LENT- Service This week our first Year 6 fundrais-ing team (Harry, Gracie, Courtney and James) will be facilitating the first fundraising event to raise mon-ey for Project Compassion. They have chosen water bucket relays (to be held in the first break). In the words of our Year 6 students… “We chose ‘Water Bucket Relays’ because
people in Cambodia do not have clean water and they have to cart water from place to place using containers. We will also be holding a ‘guess the lol-lies in the jar’ competition.’ The cost for the water bucket relay is 50c per child. The cost for the lolly guessing competition is a gold coin donation for 3 guesses. Please help us to follow Jesus’ example and reach out to help the less fortunate this Lenten season.

CLASSROOM SUPPORT NEWS
Dysgraphia is a specific learning disorder which can remain undiag-
nosed. A student can have trouble with written expression. A student
with motor-dysgraphia can find the mechanics of writing difficult and
often painful. A student with language-based dysgraphia can have
trouble processing and sequencing ideas in writing. These students
often have to work much harder and for longer to complete a piece of
writing.

Crookwell Pony Club
Crookwell Pony Club will be starting on
Sunday March 11th at the Crookwell Showground. We have
some keen new instructors and organisers for this year.
Any children/parents who are interested in coming along to see
what pony club is all about then please do. If you are interested
but do not own a horse/pony, please call me on 0458367251 or
48367237 and I can try and organise to have some extra horses
at the showground for the day so that all the kids can have a
ride.
All kids of every ability are welcome to come along. The younger
kids or those with little or no experience will be walked on a
lead. The older more experienced kids will be off lead.
Safety is a priority at pony club, so the main essential things
each rider needs is a pony club approved riding helmet and a
pair of flat soled elastic sided riding boots. Examples are below.
If anyone does not own or not able to borrow either, please let
me know so I can organise to have some spares on the day for
kids to borrow for the rally day. Long pants are a must, prefera-
bly jodhpurs but jeans are ok for the day. There will be an insur-
ance form to sign and a $25 fee for public liability and accident
insurance if your child wants to ride on the day.
The morning starts at 9.30am with a gear check and the day will
finish around 2pm. Before we start the instructor makes sure
that the riders and horses/ponies are wearing the right gear so
that everyone will be safe. We will then start the day with some
drills and games. A free sausage sizzle will be provided for lunch
on the day. We hope to see as many people there as possible
so come along and see what Pony Club is all about.
