From the Principal........ Welcome to the new school year! To our new families, students and staff, I hope you enjoy your time at Paralowie R-12 school and hope you find it a rewarding successful time.
Our new staff for 7-12: Matt James, Milind Salunke, Bob O’Brien and Desi Philippou. R-6: Hayley Beck and Robyn Saunders.
Welcome back to staff who have been on extended leave: Cherie Caon, Ian Davidson, Gabby Surinya and Kate Reid. Welcome to Craig Knowles, our new Pastoral Support worker.
Congratulations to our successful Year 12 students in 2012. Our SACE completion rate is now 85%. I am very proud of our students and our hardworking committed senior school team. We have students going to TAFE, University, taking up traineeships, apprenticeships and employment.
Our foci for 2013 will continue to be literacy, numeracy, attendance and wellbeing.
The successful partnership between school, home and the student is essential for students to meet with success. The many teams at Paralowie value their relationships with families and look forward to a successful year.
Please keep the date free for our Annual General Meeting in the Community Centre. All Welcome!

2012 SCHOOLS VOLLEYBALL CUP WRAP UPGOLD AND BRONZE!!
Our participation in the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup last December resulted in great success with our teams winning 2 medals. All teams had some memorable wins with a high standard of volleyball being played. The standard of competition was very strong across all divisions.
The results were as follows:
Under 15 Girls (div 3): Gold MedalUnder 17 Girls (div 2): Bronze MedalOpen Boys (div 2): 9th PositionUnder 15 Boys (div 2): 9th position
Everyone involved should be congratulated on their efforts during the week away.
A big thank you to all staff and volunteers who made the trip.
Trials and training for 2013 begins early in term one.
