When I get thepictures developed, I will definitelyupload some onto the website. Wefinished up with The Eyes and anotherrendition of Texas Fight. Afterwards,we submitted to photos with andwithout the happy couple, thenproceeded to eat, drink (non-alcoholicbeverages), and be merry, then droveback to town. Coral and her familywere very pleased and Coralpresented us with a nice $150.00donation. Thanks to those who madethe trip to Lexington, and especiallyto Moton Crockett for conducting andchauffeuring.

    Thanks from the DiNinos

Back in 1999, the DiNinos askedDirector of Bands, Jerry Junkin, whatspecial way we could help and assistthe University Band Program. Aftermuch analysis and consultation, hesuggested that we consider theestablishment of a Chair for Bands. To our knowledge in all the 50 statesno college or university had everreceived such a special endowment.Chairs have been established forindividual professors, researchers, symphony orchestras, collegepresidents as well as for coaches andathletic programs. We, Jane and I,decided to establish a Chair forUniversity of Texas Bands! As a firstof its kind, it is intended to financiallyenhance and support the bands anddirectors in areas not covered by TheUniversity budget or scholarshipprograms. To establish a Chair aminimum of one million dollars isnecessary! This Jane and I werewilling to fund! However after anumber of former banders asked to bepart of this we agreed to guarantee$500,000 dollars with the othermatching funds to establish the BandEndowment. Former Longhorn BandPresident and trombonist, TommyCowan and former Longhorn BandBass Clarinetist and twirler, Emma Lea

Mayton agreed to head up this massivefund drive to be completed by 2006.Indeed they spent untold hours, personal funds. numerous letters, phonecalls, and personal persuasion insuccessfully completing thismission!!!...and ahead of schedule!Amen!!!!!

This Gift to the University and its Bandsis one that we can all be very, very proudof! I want you all to know of our abidingPride and Love for all you have given tothis wonderful and unique joint Gift toUT. Once again TOGETHER we haveproduced a memorablePERFORMANCE!

    DVD Update

By now everyone who ordered DVDs should be aware ofthe unfortunate problems we had with them.

Kent Kostka has been working very hard with the companyto get the problems resolved. The company has apparentlyfound what the problem was and is in the process ofredoing the bad DVDs.

Hopefully they should be ready to ship again around mid-December.

Thanks to all who emailed the problem years and gaveKent the feedback needed to take care of the problem. We have had only one or two dissatisfied customers whohave received a refund.

For those of you waiting we appreciate your patience andsupport in this massive undertaking. As someone saidthis project has been 50 years in the making, waiting afew more weeks wont be that bad.

Thanks again to Kent for all the time and work he has putin to making this project a reality.

We will send out a mass email to let everyone know whenthe redone DVDs are mailed so you will be able to lookfor them in the mail.
