Queridos feligreses,

Este 4to domingo de Pascua, llamado

"Domingo del Buen Pastor", también es un

reconocimiento de "vocaciones" el domingo.

Estamos invitados a considerar las

vocaciones al sacerdocio, la vida religiosa, la

vida conyugal y la vida soltera en la Iglesia.

Este fin de semana estamos comenzando un

ministerio para orar por vocaciones. Estamos

bendiciendo un Crucifijo que pasará de famil-

ia a familia cada semana. A la familia se le

pedirá que ore las oraciones vocacionales du-

rante la semana y luego devuelva el crucifijo

el próximo domingo y una nueva familia lleva-

rá el Crucifijo a su hogar. Todos los feligreses

están invitados a inscribirse hoy para una

semana de oración por las vocaciones en el

vestíbulo.

Este domingo por la tarde, tendremos un pro-

grama para niños, adolescentes y padres al

comenzar nuestro "club de vocaciones". Es-

peramos que este sea un lugar donde po-

damos hablar sobre vocaciones, divertirnos

(pescar, fútbol, películas, etc.), visite seminari-

os y conventos, etc. Anime a sus hijos e hijas

a asistir.

El trabajo en el ascensor está llegando. Los

constructores ahora han cortado el techo y el

piso y casi han completado el pozo que alber-

gará el ascensor. Estamos muy entusiasma-

dos de que este proyecto se esté convirtiendo

en una realidad.

Nuestros jóvenes adultos están muy entusias-

mados con nuestra próxima celebración del

"Cinco de Mayo" el 4 de mayo. ¡Espero que

pueda apoyar este evento comprando boletos

y / u ofreciendo donaciones y su ayuda! La

noche incluirá una gran cena, karaoke, músi-

ca, oportunidades de ganar premios, el toro

mecánico, un brincolin (lo siento solo por los

niños), etc. Este será un gran evento, espero

verlos allí.

Dear Parishioners,

This Fourth Sunday of Easter, called “Good

Shepherd” Sunday, is also “Vocations Aware-

ness" Sunday. We are invited to consider vo-

cations to the priesthood, religious life, mar-

ried life, and single life in the Church. This

weekend we are beginning a ministry to pray

for vocations. We are blessing a crucifix that

will be passed from family to family each

week. The family will be asked to pray the

vocations prayers for the week and then re-

turn the crucifix the following Sunday and a

new family will take the crucifix into their

home. All parishioners are invited to sign up

for a week of prayer for vocations in the vesti-

bule today.

This Sunday afternoon, we will have a pro-

gram for children, teenagers, and parents as

we begin our “vocations club.” We hope that

this will be a place where we can talk about

vocations, have some fun (fishing, football,

movies, etc.), visit seminaries and convents,

etc. Please encourage your sons and daugh-

ters to attend.

Work on the elevator is coming along. The

constructors have now cut through the ceiling

and the floor and have nearly completed the

shaft that will house the elevator. We are

very excited that this project is becoming a re-

ality.

Our young adults are looking forward to our

upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration on May

4. I hope you can support this event by buy-

ing tickets and/or offering donations and your

help! The night will include a great dinner,

karaoke, music, and prizes, as well as

a mechanical bull and a bounce house

(sorry, only for children). This will be a great

event, hope to see you there.

There has been requests to start a weekly youth group with an in-terest to meet on Thursdays. If you would like to start a week-ly youth group to meet on Thurs-

day evenings at least during the summer please contact the parish office or sign up on the list posted on the bulletin board outside of the Faith Formation Office. Will need adult volunteers to help.

Right now we have several jackets, hats, gloves, books, notebooks, etc. please fell free to come and check items as soon as you can, otherwise we will hold them for a month and if no one claims them we will send them to St. Vincent de Paul so someone else can use them.
