Tennis Dear parents, With less than a week of the term remaining there is a growing sense of anticipation for the upcoming school holidays. And I suspect that no one is more excited than the boys and girls who will be travelling to the Netherlands to participate in the co-ed Hockey tour taking place in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We wish them all a memorable time and safe travels! After teaching in the College for more than 13 years, Ms Deirdre Yeo has decided to take early retirement from education. We thank Ms Yeo for her significant and valued contribution to the Mathematics department during her tenure here and wish her a happy and healthy future as she embarks on the next exciting chapter in her life. May it be an adventure! Our English department certainly has been productive lately: Both Mrs van Vuuren and Mrs February will be taking maternity leave later in the year! The Reddam 1 st Tennis team finished the term on a high note beating Wynberg Boy’s High School at Wynberg. The scores for the doubles matches were 8 - 6 to Johnny and Michael and 8 - 2 to Hayden and Emma. In the singles matches, Johnny played well to beat his opponent 8-5 and Hayden beat his opponent 8-1. Michael and Emma played very well and can be proud of their performances but lost 4 - 8 and 7 - 8 respectively. Well done Emma! Remember we were playing Wynberg Boys! Thanks to the parents for their support and we look forward to more excellent tennis later in the year. “Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist.

And however difficult life may seem, there is always something that you can do and succeed at.

It matters that you just don’t give up.” – Stephen Hawking –
