MAY’ – THE ACHIEVERS

We are fortunate to have such dedicated students who

run against the trend of using the parent’s money to

BUILD future. These two young girls did the old

fashioned way they worked hard.

Dhara’s father is a teacher at Convent School & she has

done her Masters in Bio-tech & then worked at Sun

Pharma here. She did her IELTS at our college & also

gave her service to the college latter on teaching IELTS

FREE to the students here. A humane by heart. She has

got the right break in CANADA.

Niravta Christian is born to CARE for the Children’s of

Lesser God. The people, who are mentally challenged or

as they say now SPECIAL NEEDS,. A very sincere person

she has volunteering in Larche UK. All this she has done

on her own. This is going to be her third experience.

What one should learn from these two is that simplicity

& honesty always pays. Our role in shaping them to be

honest is minimal. God has rewarded them with this

opportunity to BUILD LIFE.

Building Life From A Scratch

Every month we shall highlight few students who have impressed us by their sincerity, commitment & dedication. They would all have different backgrounds but they all said YES I CAN.

I am sure their achievement would motivate many. They all would prove MONEY DOES NOT MATTER to BUILD LIFE. Pradip Chauhan, Mehboob Monin, Blossom Simon. Utpal Borah &

Depali + Kedar & Kayum Habib

et’s begin with Pradip & Mehboob . These are two amazing guys who came across in 1982. They were both struggling & were earning & studying to make two ends meet. Years

have passed they finished their studies in management, climbed to the top of the management & now Pradeep is in top position at Jindal Hotels &Mehboob with Crompton

Greaves. Mehboob is now leaving for USA for BUILDING LIFE PLUS.

Blossom Simon. A Social Work Student who was introduced by Prof Vyas to us. The other word for her is LIFE. She has very hard working & a strict stickler to the schedule. Before

settling as a Social Worker in UK, she worked very hard with NGO’s here. Her mission was very clear. She stuck to her goal work for people with special needs. Today she is a big

achiever.

If anyone wants to KNOW how to BUILD LIFE without a penny in the pocketit’s this American Soldier of Indian Origin our favorite Utpal Borah. He struggled in Assam, he struggled in

Israel, he struggled in Gujarat, he struggled in England-Ireland & then landed in USA. After studying he joined the US army. Now he is serving humanity in Afghanistan.

Ankur worked for Surya Palace as a chef. His reading power is amazing. Having known this man for 10 years plus I have yet to find a man who goes out of his way to support others. He

has helped so many but the sad story is he has not been reciprocated. Having settled in UK with his wife Anjali & they are a marvelous couple.

Here I would mention Kayum he was a simple IT learner at our place. Built on his own in Data Base Administration & now is gainfully employed in USA. Last but not the least Lopa Patel was different her family background was resourceful but she decided to build from a scratch from the bottom a very successful young lady now. You may contact all of them on Facebook.

The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do,

comes back to you !- Lalita Simon

A woman baked bread for members of her family and an extra one for

a hungry passerby. She kept the extra bread on the Window-sill, for whosoever would take it away. Every day, a hunch-back came and took away the bread. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: "The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" This went on, day after day. Every day, the hunch-back came, picked up the bread and uttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" The woman felt irritated. "Not a word of gratitude," she said to herself... "Everyday this hunch-back utters this jingle! What does he mean? "One day, out of desperation, she decided to do away with him. "I shall get rid of this hunch-back," she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the bread she prepared for him! As she was about to place it on the window sill, her hands trembled. "What is this I am doing?" she said. Immediately she threw the bread into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window-sill. As usual, the hunch-back came, picked up the bread and muttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" The hunch-back proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman. Every day, as the woman placed the bread on the window-sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him.. She prayed for his safe return. That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway.. He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak. As he saw his mother, he said, "Mom, it's a miracle I'm here. While I was but a mile away, I was so hungry that I collapsed. I would have died, but just then an old hunch-back passed by. I begged of him for a small part of his food, and he was kind enough to give me a whole bread. "As he gave it to me, he said, "This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!" "As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale and red. She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned bread that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life! It was then that she realized the significance of the words: "The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" Do good and; Don't ever stop doing good, even if it’s not appreciated at that time.

MY SON- Mital Petiwale

Sometimes you don't see what you're looking at until it is too late. My son this is great. Take a moment to read it; it will make your day!The ending will surprise you. Take my Son.....A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.. When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son. About a month later, just before Christmas, There was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.. He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly... He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.' The father - Opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.' The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected. The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?' There was silence... Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.' >But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?' Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!' But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?' Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting...' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. 'We have $10, who will bid $20?' 'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.' The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel.. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!' A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!' The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.''What about the paintings?''I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will... I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!' God gave His son over 2,000 years ago to die on the Cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The Son, the Son, who'll take the Son?'Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything! FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…. THAT’S LOVE Godbless…

Life Begins

When You Do – Ila Pandya

For many years, the quote * live with intention*hung in my office. It was there for inspiration and as a reminder of what's important in life. I'll never forget when I saw it for the first time. The words hit me right between the eyes and all I could say was, "Wow, that's how I feel!" I've often said that it's not what you say, but how you say it that turns the switch from "off" to "on." Although the quote has only 42 words, it has captured the imagination of millions of people around the world. In fact, it has been Googled over 10 million times. It was written by Mary Anne Radmacher, and it's called...Live with Intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Laugh. Play with abandon .Practice wellness .Continue to learn. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Lead or follow a leader. Do what you love .Live as if this is all there is. Life Begins When You Do It's up to you to make choices that work best for you. It really is all within your point of view. Regret is a matter of perspective. If you like who you are NOW, it follows that you can embrace, without regret, all the choices that led you here. Difficulties impact me—they do not define me.Challenges mold me—they do not make me.Praise may encourage me—it is my own vision that inspires me.Successes may spur me on but it is my own reward that satisfies me.Pain may permeate but my heart and hope prevail.Criticism and pettiness may knock but the lock is on my side of the door.Abundance may pave the road but it is generosity that lights the way.As long as I'm breathin'—I'm livin'.My way. Beginning every fresh moment—now!

Their concentration is on school children s & women empowerment The entire presentation on the company was excellent. The manufacturing plant The students who volunteered there for a month got a feel of REAL INDIA absolutely automated & on the lighter side we all got the hat of NETAFIM ..They realized that India is not malls & multiplexes but it’s still what I always call it a mini Israel in Vadodara. Gandhiji said REAL INDIA

Kuntal’s humanity -

About 25 days back, as I was commuting from Surat to Baroda by train for the college, before Kosamba Station , an unknown co-passenger suddenly started feeling suffocated. So I

offered him water to drink. In spite of drinking water, he did not feel better and was unable to speak. His entire body was trembling and all other passengers in the coach gathered

around him. There was a boy named Vipin along with me who had done his pharmacy. He opened the man’s bag and took out a file. The file revealed that the man was a heart patient.

He did not know Hindi or Gujarati. So I dialed 108 ambulance services at Kosamba, but since it had gone for another case I got down at Kosamba Station along with the sick man. With

the help of local people, I took him to him to the hospital. The sick man’s brother was in police service at Ankleshwar and so I called him at Kosamba. After reaching for his mobile

number from the man’s mobile, he took his brother to Surat for further treatment. The next day I received a call on my mobile that the sick man was getting better now.

JRD Tata

Born: July 29, 1904 Birth Place - Paris Died: on November 29, 1993 Achievements: He had the honor of being India's first pilot; was Chairman of Tata & Sons for 50 years; launched Air India International as India's first international airline; received Bharat Ratna in 1992. JRD Tata was one of the most enterprising Indian entrepreneurs. He was a pioneer aviator and built one of the largest industrial houses of India. JRD Tata was born on July 29, 1904 in Paris. His mother was a French, while his father was Parsi. JRD's full name was Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata and he was popularly known as Jeh to his friends. JRD's father Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata and Sri Jamsetji Tata shared their greatness from the same great-great-grandfather, Ervad Jamsheed Tata, a priest of Navsari. JRD Tata was the second of four children. He was educated in France, Japan and England before being drafted into the French army for a mandatory one-year period. JRD wanted to extend his service in the forces but destiny had something else in store for him. By leaving the French army JRD's life was saved because shortly thereafter, the regiment in which he served was totally wiped out during an expedition in Morocco. JRD Tata joined Tata & Sons as an unpaid apprentice in 1925. He has great interest in flying. On February 10, 1929, JRD became the first Indian to pass the pilot's examination. With this distinctive honor of being India's first pilot, he was instrumental in giving wings to India by building Tata Airlines, which ultimately became Air India. His passion for flying was fulfilled with the formation of the Tata Aviation Service in 1932. In 1938, at the age of 34, JRD was elected Chairman of Tata & Sons making him the head of the largest industrial group in India. He started with 14 enterprises under his leadership and half a century later on July 26, 1988, when he left, Tata & Sons was a conglomerate of 95 enterprises which they either started or in which they had controlling interest.

In 1948, JRD Tata launched Air India International as India's first international airline. In 1953, the Indian Government appointed JRD as Chairman of Air-India and a director on the Board of Indian Airlines-a position JRD retained for 25-years. For his crowning achievements in Aviation, JRD was bestowed with the title of Honorary Air Commodore of India.

In 1956, JRD Tata initiated a program of closer "employee association with management" to give workers a stronger voice in the affairs of the company. He firmly believed in employee welfare and espoused the principles of an eight-hour working day, free medical aid, workers' provident scheme, and workmen's accident compensation schemes, which were later, adopted as statutory requirements in India.

JRD Tata received a number of awards. He received the Padma Vibhushan in 1957 on the eve of silver jubilee of Air India. He also received the Guggenheim Medal for aviation in 1988. In 1992, because of his selfless humanitarian endeavors, JRD Tata was awarded India's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna-one of the rarest instances in which this award was granted during a person's lifetime. JRD Tata died in Geneva, Switzerland on November 29, 1993 at the age of 89. On his death, the Indian Parliament was adjourned in his memory-an honor not usually given to persons who are not Members of Parliament.
