Dave L. wants to get the draft S-1/Gov. Lingle briefing paper to Peter this Morning (Sunday), so Dave and I will send a draft paper to Peter based on my initial version, Carl's input, and a couple press articles in the last few days. Unless you have something crucial to add or correct, please don't spend time working on this unless you hear otherwise from me. I'll send you something more final once we have a response from Peter. Thanks. Susan

Since this 5-1 paper for a meeting with the Governor of Hawii is due by noon on Monday, I drafted an initial effort for consideration--to get things moving (5-1 Meeting with Hawaii Gov Lingle 2.9.10). The subject matter and message needs to be somewhat different than the 5-1 paper we did recently for the Secretary's meeting with the Mayor.

Jim Ryan, are you available to finalize this paper by noon Monday if commenters provide their input to you by 10 AM on Monday? If not, please let me know.

The paper is long and needs to be shortened, but may have to run a bit over one page because of the complexity of the issues raised by the Governor. Apparently the Gov. is especially interested in the situation at the Airport. Do we need to say more on that subject?

Susan PS Hope everyone in the DC area is safe and comfortable during this blizzard!

Hello all: You will see from the traffic below that 51 is going to be meeting with the Governor of Hawaii. Attached is the briefing paper recently prepared for the meeting 51 had with the Mayor of Honolulu. Could you please supply me with any changes that you may have by Monday at noon because we are going to need time to clear this with Peter? Thanks so much!

Actually the briefing recently done was for S-1 but for a mtg w/ the Mayor so may only need to change slightly as the Gov and Mayor do have two different opinions on this project. I can't get into SRA today and thus don't have access to the S drive or my files but it should be there or Jacqui or Tia may also have it. Thanks!
