Wouldn’t it be incredible if you had influential people shouting your praises?

With 74% of customers using social media to inform their purchasing decisions, getting trusted people with the right audiences to talk about your brand can bring you a real competitive advantage.

Getting the public approval of influencers can increase your leads, improve brand awareness, and skyrocket your credibility.

But none of that happens if you can’t get those influencers sharing your brand.

But before I show you how to do that, let’s define an “influencer”.

A good influencer:

• Is known and respected in an industry or marketplace that is relevant for your goods or services

• Has a unique, well-defined position in your marketplace • Holds views congruent with the product or service you offer • Is predictably, consistently active on social media and has an established

following.

The right influencer can make a world of difference for your business by enhancing your reputation and spreading your brand to new readers.

So, let’s give influencers a reason to share you and your brand.

Summary:

You will add 2-3 sentence quotes from influencers in your next blog post. Then, tweet their quote with their Twitter handle and a link to your post.

Depending on length of your post (and your preference), you will include quotes from 2-5 different influencers.

Using a free account at Buzzsumo (create one here), you will find the best articles that are trending, relevant and by thought leaders on the specific topic you are covering.

Then, set up automatic/scheduled social media posting to promote these influencers and your content using Buffer (create account here).

There are 3 reasons for using this tactic:

1. Builds Goodwill - Everyone likes accolades…including the gurus you look up to. You are also promoting them to your followers, and that will give you some cool points with them.

2. Authority by Association - By showing that popular bloggers/writers agree with you, readers will give you some of the authority built up by the other person.

3. Potential for Social Sharing - There is a good chance that they will share your post (including their quote) with their followers. This can lead to surges in qualified traffic to your site.

I don’t recommend going for big “celebrity entrepreneurs”, because they are bombarded with messages and tags everyday.

Instead, choose ones that are leaders in their specific niche of a market.

For example, if it was on marketing funnels, you would go for Todd Brown an expert specifically on marketing funnels, over a more well known marketing expert like Damond John.

Review their social media profiles and make sure they post regularly. In this case, Twitter will be the most important place to have influence…but don’t count someone out if they aren’t a big Twitter user.

STEP 3: CLICK ON A RESULT TO VIEW THE POST



STEP 4: FIND A QUOTE IN THE POST THAT YOU CAN USE IN YOUR CONTENT



STEP 5: ADD THE QUOTE TO YOUR CONTENT AND LINK TO THEIR ARTICLE



STEP 6: REPEAT MULTIPLE TIMES



STEP 7: CREATE TWEETABLES THAT TAG THE WRITERS ON TWITTER
