Shinerama is Canada’s largest post-secondary school fundraiser. It involves students from more than 65 universities and colleges in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s search for a cure, or control for cystic fibrosis (CF). Once again, Sheridan student union members will be taking part in the campaign that has raised almost $17.5 million to help fund CF research and treat- ment programs since the campaign began in 1964. Cystic fibrosis, which affects the lungs and the digestive system, is the most common, fatal, genet- ic disease affecting young Canadians. Sheridan has participat- ed in Shinerama since 2002. On Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sheridan student union members and friends will congregate and participate in various activities and provide services such as bouncing castles, mini golf, soccer and hockey shoot offs, face painting, car wash- ing and a barbecue.
