Reminder/Directive: Campus nurses are not to be assigned to a station to perform daily temperature checks or to facilitate Rapid Testing Sessions. They are our SISD medical experts that will provide oversite and guidance throughout the day. Thank you!

All campuses, DSC and Transportation are approved testing sites. YAY! Thank you!!

Weekly testing schedules

Please include CNS, M&O, Transportation employees

Provide campus/department testing schedule to Dr. Castro

Example: DSC every Monday from 7:30-9:30am and 4:00-5:00pm

January 21st – 1st Dose & City will contact employees to schedule second dose (week 15th or 22nd)

✓ Proximity = Closer the distance equals higher exposure risk (i.e. within 6ft)

✓ Duration of Exposure = Longer exposure time equals higher exposure risk (i.e. cumulative total 15 minutes)

✓ State of Infected Individual During Exposure:• Symptomatic = Period around onset of

symptoms is associated with the highest level of viral shedding

• Shedding of Respiratory Aerosols = was coughing, singing, shouting

✓ Environmental Factors:CrowdingIndoors or Outdoors (i.e. ventilation)

SISD Safety Zone – Hold in Orange

o Today, February 10th = Official School Safety Zone Designation = ORANGE Zone

o Send communication, ASAP, to all Faculty & Staff to review/communicate campus’ HOLD plan.o All teachers and essential staff will continue working onsite

o Red and Orange students will continue their traditional learning onsite

o Yellow, Green and Remote students will continue learning virtually from home

o Monday, February 15th – Friday February 19th = All campus teachers and essential staff are onsite. Students

will continue to follow their previously selected safety zone designation for on campus face-to-face instruction or

off-campus virtual instruction.

February 1st = On Campus Instruction with Teachers

➢ As per TEA: In order to generate funding for remote instruction, on-campus instruction must be offered to all students whose parents wish them to attend on campus.

➢ SISD parents will continue to have the option to choose the instructional setting (Remote or Traditional) for their child(ren).

➢ We will continue to honor the safety zone designation previously identified by parents via December Survey.

➢ No more on-campus learning pods, only face to face traditional instruction.

Procedures to follow if a parent opts to change their prior Safety Zone Designation.

1. Use “Safety Zone Designation - Change Form” to document parent’s formal request to

change their previous designation.

✓ Maximum of 3 days to process parent request.

2. Provide finalized document to campus PEIMS Clerk / Registrar to complete the following:

Update student’s new traditional zone coding in COVID-19 Program Service in TylerSIS.

If student qualifies and requests Transportation Services, scan and send completed document via email to

Jacqueline Gutierrez, Rachel Torres and Judy Moore at [email protected], [email protected] and

[email protected].

Upload document into student digital content using the naming convention “COVID-19 Parent Change Form”.

*Parent’s always have the option to change their prior
