Fresher’s Day

The 23rd of September 2015, was marked as a memorable day in the life of

every fresher at Presidency college PG students, Bangalore. The Fresher’s day was a

day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.

The dress code for the Fresher’s day was ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for Fresher’s.

The celebration started at 4:30 pm with the welcome speech by Aishwarya, in which

Freshers were formally welcomed into the Presidency family, which also included the

introduction of the chief guests for the day Dj Prem, Rj Ridhi, Samrat and Eesha. After

the introduction of the guest few events like singing and dancing were done to entertain

the freshers .

The event was sponsored by ‘2nd year PG students’, and provided Dj night by Dj Prem

and a finger licking dinner. The energetic and enthusiastic emcees of the show were

2nd year student of the PG Department. The program kick-started with all the

participants elegantly dressed and ready to perform.

The participants for Mr. and Miss. Fresher, were selected by the seniors based on the

audition round which also included the ‘Quiz Test’ before the Fresher’s Day. The first

round for the selected students was the ‘Fashion Show’ which was judged by our

esteemed chief guests. The second round was ‘Talent round’ where they had to

execute their talent with cross questioning by the judges based on their Quiz Test

answers. All the participants were eagerly waiting to know the results; the judgment was

based on the performing style and speed of the participant. The results were finally

declared at the end by the judges.

Performance by seniors

The cool seniors put up various performances like dancing, singing and skits to

entertain their cool juniors, all the juniors were enjoying and having a great time.

Ms.Stuti, an especially talented youngster was introduced as Miss Fresher to the

audience, who not only is a fresher and a multi talented. She sang a melodious song

and played a guitar and Mr. Aiyappa was introduced as Mr. Fresher who gave a

complex to the seniors by demonstrating his extra ordinary dance skills. The sponsors

had given out various gifts to both of them and they were also awarded with trophies

and prizes

This year the department had planned the Fresher’s party in a very unique and special

way. In accordance with this, the function had been conducted in College quadrangle

and we started to plan before a month. The game results were finally declared at the

before the Dj evening and the title for the Mr. Fresher 2015 had been given to MR

Aiyappa and Ms. Fresher 2015 had gone to Ms.Stuti.

The Dj was played by in Dj Prem from Mumbai, who is among the top Djs in India, who

was introduced to the Fiesta team by his friend Mr. MC Faisal.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from our HOD Dr. K.R. Pundareeka Vitala

followed by dinner. All the freshers including the senior’s rocked the show under the

guidance of our HOD, Mrs. Uma and Mr. Vishweswar. At the end, everyone enjoyed

the celebrations and all thanked the HOD, faculties and seniors students for hosting

such a nice program that they could cherish lifelong.

The entire program was a grand success. The best compliment received was by our

HOD stating “Low budget, super duper show”.
