Fresher's party is the most awaited event by the new students in an

Institute. In the same way the students of JIM (Jagran Institute of

Management) eagerly looked forward to the event to happen. The

fresher's party, 2018 of JIM took place on Saturday, 25th of August at

Sri Lakshmi Devi Auditorium. The event started at with lamp lighting

which was further fallowed by Ganesh Vandana dance performance

rendered by Komal and Shalini Sharma of MCA 2nd year. Laden with

cultural activities, performances and fun games, the programme was

a big hit. The comperes for the evening Afreen, Dorothy, Prashant

and Rajat set the stage for a fun filled evening. The punch and

energy in their presentation was phenomenal. The main event was

the ramp walk for selection of Miss and Mr. Fresher 2018. Several

dance performances, singing and games were conducted and

presented by volunteers to fill the party with so much more fun.

The party was filled with great joy, happiness, excitement, laughter

and music. The new batch of 2018 said that this day was made

memorable by the efforts of their seniors and would be cherished

for a lifetime.

To win the title of Miss and Mr Fresher, students had to qualify

three rounds. The first round was ramp walk. The students rocked

the ramp by their tremendous ramp walk and the way the presented

themselves. As the first round came to an end 20 students were

short listed from amongst the freshers. Following this was the

questionnaire round. In this round only 8 qualifiers of the previous

round were shortlisted based on how they presented their views.

After this came the third and final round which was the performance

round. While the results were being compiled some mind blowing

performances were presented by the senior students including

Sawood, Anmol, Juhi, Dorothy, Supriya,Prashant and Rashtradeep.

The freshers were not lagging behind. The ones that did showcase

their talent included Komal, Chandini, Sachin, Ankit and Mohini

Trivedi. The find of the evening was the very talented Suraj Singh

Bisht. Anshul Tiwari was awarded the title of Mr. Fresher 2k18 and

Amna Alam was awarded the title of Miss Fresher 2k18 . Ms.

Inderpreet kaur won the title of Ms. Photogenic and Ashutosh

Mishra was chosen Mr. Photogenic. The winners were crowned by

director Dr. Divya Chaudhary alongwith the judges Ms.Ashrita

Shukla, Ms.Shefali Dixit and Ms.Sharaddha Agarwal. The event was

graced by CEO Dr.J N Gupta, whose presence was highly motivating

for all. The Fresher’s party was hugely successful and full of lots of

fun and happiness.
