Personality Development Programme

Personality Development Programme was organised on

22.09.2017 at Seminar hall of JSS Women’s college

Campus Chamarajanagar. Sri Prakash Navilur,Principal

Government Girls PU College, Nanjangud was the

Chief Guest for the programme and he explained about

importance of time in our life and how to utilize the

time in proper way. Also during the session given tips

about Exam preparation, importance of discipline in life,

how to overcome difficulties in studies etc. Principal

Mr.Vinay Kumar G Presided over the occasion, all

teaching staff and students were present

FRESHER’S DAY (AAGAMA 2K17):

The Fresher’s day (AAGAMA 2K17) was held on

07/10/17 for the 14th batch of GNM students at Seminar

hall of JSS Women’s College Campus Chamarajanagar.

Dr.Nagaraju,District Surveillance officer and Dr. Anil

Kumar, District Malaria Control officer were the chief

guest and inaugurated the programme.Mr.Vinay Kumar

G Presided over the occasion. Freshy King and Freshy

Queen were selected based on the student’s talent.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

As a part of World Mental Health Day on 10/10/17 to

create awareness on “Treatment of Mental Illness” role

play has done at different various places i.e JSS Hospital

Chamarajanagar, District Hospital and Private Bus

stand. Dr.Raju District Mental Health Officer was the

Chief Guest and he spoke about the Theme of this year

and flaggedoff for the role play. Dr. Manjunath, Medical

superintendent JSS Hospital Chamarajanagar,and Mr.

Vinay Kumar G,Principal, JSS School of Nursing,

Chamarajanagar, Teaching Faculty and students were

present. Nearly 1000 members watched the role play at

various places and got benefited.

WORLD HEART DAY

JSS School of Nursing, in collaboration with JSS

Hospital, Chamarajanagar observed World Heart Day on

24/10/17 by organizing walkathon from JSS Hospital to

Chamarajeshwara temple,Chamarajanagar. Sri. Ramu B

District Collector, Chamarajanagar was the chief guest

and he spoke few words on importance of these types of

awareness events and how changes in the lifestyle have

impact on the health of an individual and the

community. He also flagged off for the walkathon and

Faculty and students were present. The rally in which

more than 200 students and staff were present. The

rallyists held placards that carried messages such as

“Quit smoking and alcohol” “Avoid unhealthy Fats”

“Exercise regularly”. Nearly 1000 members watched

and got benefited.

WORLD DIABETES DAY-

As a part of World Diabetes Day on 14/11/17 JSS

School of Nursing organized Guest Lectuer by

Dr.Sharath Kumar B Jaikar Asst Professor, CIMS,

Chamarajanagar on Diabetes mellitus (Causes, signs&

symptoms, management and its trends) at Seminar Hall

of JSS Women’s College Campus Chamarajanagar.

Health Exhibition at JSS Hospital Chamarajanagar:

JSS SON Students also organized health exhibition on

Diabetic diet and menu plan of a diabetic person at

JSS Hospital Chamarajanagar nearly 250 members

visited and got benefit of the same.

KANNADA RAJYOTHSAVA

JSS School of Nursing Chamarajanagar Celebrated

Kannada Rajyothsava on 18/11/2017 at Seminar Hall of

JSS Women’s College Campus Chamarajanagar.

Sri. Ramachandra President, Zilla Panchayath,

Chamarajanagar inaugurated the occasion and delivered

inaugural speech. The Chief guest of the programme

were Mr. B.K.Ravikumar, President APMC

Camarajanagar and Mr.Manjunath prasanna Principal

Govt PU College Alur, spoke few words on Kannada

and its literature. R.M.Swamy PRO JSS Institutions,

Chamarajanagar Presided over the occasion. After the

stage programme Cultural competitions were held for

the students and rewarded.

WORLD AIDS DAY-

As a part World AIDS Day, JSS School of Nursing

Chamarajanagar organized awareness event at JSS

Hospital Campus, Chamarajanagar. The chief guest

Dr.Mahadevu N DAPCO inaugurated by lighting lamp

to Red ribbon formed by our students and he spoke

regarding statistics of HIV in Karnataka state and

facilities available in government set up. Special invitee

Dr.Manjunath ART Department District Hospital

Chamarajanagar gave speech regarding treatment of

HIV. Mrs.Bhagya Co ordinator of Chaithanya network

explained benefits available by NGO and told to show

love and affection to HIV infected people. Dr.Ravish

Administrative officer JSS Hospital Prseided over the

occasion. Dr.Manjunath Medical officer JSS Hospital,

Mr.Vinay Kumar G, Principal JSS School of Nursing

Mrs.Latha ICTC Counsellor was also present.

ANNUAL CULTURAL AND LITERARY MEET

(UTSAV-2K17)

Annual Cultural and Literary meet Utsav-2k17 was

organized by SNA unit of JSS School of Nursing,

Chamarajanagar from 18/12/2017 to 20/12/2017 at

Seminar Hall of JSS Women’s College Campus

Chamarajanagar.

On 18/12/2017 off stage events like Flower decoration,

Vegetable carving, Drawing, Rangoli and Fireless

cooking were conducted.

Cultural meet was formally inaugurated on 19/12/2017

at 10 AM by Sri.K.P.Sadashivamurthy member of

Zilla Panchayath. He appreciated the efforts of

organizers for organizing Cultural meet. Chief guest

of the programme Mr.Mahadevahaiha Asst.Director,

Department of Kannada and Culture Chamarajanagar,

spoke regarding importance of Cultural programme in

student life and wished all success. Special invitee of

programme Sri.Basavaraju, President, Taluk Kannada

Sahithya Parishath Chamarajanagar he entertained

students with folk song.Mr.Vinay Kumar.G Principal,

JSS School of Nursing presided over the occasion.

After inauguration programme continued with

competition. Students participated in various

competitions like Folk song, Solo Dance, Mono acting,

Hair style, Fashion show, Group song, Film song, Skit,

Couple song, Couple Dance, Fancy dress, Group

Dance and students bagged the prizes.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET (SPARDHA-2K17)

JSS School of Nursing Chamarajanagar organized

Annual sports meet “SPARDHA-2K17” from

21-12-2017 to 23-12-2017.

Sports meet was inaugurated by Mr.M.Girish Devaru,

International Touch Rugby player by lighting lamp he

appreciated the interest of Nursing students in sports

and encouraged students by his inspiring words

Flag hoisting held by Mr.J.Jeorge Philip, Physical

Education Director, General Education division

Chamarajanagar. He appreciated the organization of

sports meet and wished all success for participants.

like kho kho ,Throw ball, Shot put, High jump, Long

jump,Chess,Carrom, Slow cycle race, Running

100mtr,200mtr, Javelin and discuss throw all

Valedictory was held on 23/12/2017 winners were

rewarded.

LAMP LIGHTING AND OATH TAKING

CEREMONY

Lamp Lighting and oath taking ceremony of 14th

batch of GNM Students was held on 09/02/2018 at

seminar hall of JJS Womens college campus

Chamarajnagar. Programme was inaugurated by

Sri.Harish kumar CEO, ZP Chamarajanagar

congratulated students for selecting Nursing profession

and mentioned Nursing is noble profession patience

and sacrifice is key words of this. Chief guest was

Dr.Raghurama Sharvegar, District surgeon District

hospital chamarajanagar in his speech he said about

upliftment of knowledge and respect, and encouraged

to serve mankind and said the importance of sympathy

and empathy in nursing. Offering of the light was by

Mrs.Shivamma Vice Principal, Victoria School of

Nursing Bengaluru and Mrs.Sandyashree Nursing

WORKSHOP ON CHILD LAWS AND

ACT:

JSS School of Nursing Chamarajanagar

organized Workshop on Child Laws and act on

17/02/18 at Seminar Hall of JSS Women’s

College Campus, Chamarajanagar from 11.00

am to 05.00 pm

Workshop was inaugurated by Sri. Basavarju

Principal and District Judge, Chamarajanagar.

Sri R P Nandhish, Senior Civil Judge and

member secretary, Dist. Legal Services

authority, Chamarajanagar was the chief guest

of the programme. Sri Ummathur Indhushekar

President, District Advocate Association,

Chamrajanagar and Sri Arun Kumar R

Secretary, District Advocate Association were

the guest of honor. Dr.Manjunath, Medical

Superintendent JSS Hospital Chamarajanagar

presided over the occasion.

During the workshop various topics were

discussed like

PC & PNDT Act, POCSO & DV Act, Child

adoption, Child marriage, Juvenile

Delinquency and child rights were effectively

handled by experts.

WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY:

As a part of World TB Day Seminar was

organised on Tuberculosis: Epidemiology,

Management and its challenges on 24/0382018

at seminar hall of JSS Women’s College,

Chamarajanagar. It was formally inaugurated

by Sri R P Nandhish, Senior Civil Judge and

member Secretary, Dist. Legal Services

authority, Chamarajanagar. Chief guest

Dr.Krishna Prasad, RMO, Dist Hospital

disclosed the theme of this year and spoke few

words on TB and its challenges. Dr. Chandrik

Babu, Asst. Professor, CIMS, Chamarajanagar,

Dr.Ravish, Administrative officer, JSS

Hospital, Chamarajangar and

Mr.Mahadevaswamy, STS, DTC centre,

Chamarajanagar were the resource persons for

the seminar. Mr.Vinay Kumar G. Principal JSS

School of Nursing, Chamarajanagar was the

president of the occasion.

WORLD HEALTH DAY:

On 28/04/2018 as a part of world health day

under the Theme;” Universal Health Coverage”

organized health exhibition on Balanced diet,

Diabetic diet, prevention of anemia and personal

hygiene along with assessment of BMI at JSS Rudset

Mariyala nearly 500 females in the reproductive age

group got benefit of this

With this activity our students assisted for Health

camp organized by JSS Hospital Chamarajanagar.

WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL DAY:

On 05/06/2018 during World Environmental day we

conducted seminar on safe environment by Dr.G.S

Siddaraju Rtd.Deputy director Agriculture Department

Chamarajnagar district and Seminar inaugurated by

watering Plant and 16 students participated in slogan

writing competition best slogans were rewarded. At last

video show on ill effect of plastic was also arranged for

students
