Our mission is to tell the farmer’s story and to unite efforts to build locally based, trustworthy food economies, in which sustainable food production, processing, distribution, and consumption are integrated to enhance the economic, environmental and social health of our community.

What do we do?WEBSITE:We connect farmers and local businesses in order to make locally grown products accessible to the community, ensuring fair price for consumers, fair pay for farmers, and economic growth for the community.

AWARENESS CAMPAIGN:We build community awareness with the goal to work in collaboration to enhance our standard of living by eating healthier products, supporting local businesses, and providing fair pay to farmers.

Why do we do it?• We know that locally grown food is fresher, tastier,

and healthier. In the United States, food is usually altered by irradiation in order to prolong shelf life and survive extended travel.

• Imported foods are transported over long distances. The harm of transportation in our food chain has a significant negative impact in the environment.

• Imported foods require special packing, which will eventually be disposed and the majority is not recyclable.

• Locally grown food travels very short distances and most of it does not need packaging.

• We believe in the development and support of local farmers and local economies.
